About this creation

I've been wanting to revisit the Rotting Pelican ever since I first built it way back when. Here is my second, improved version which featured more detail like power cables and an ambiggened cargo hold. Still, I'm not completely happy with it; I would've liked more exterior panelling to be present more, blending in with the technic frame, and the engines seem very small. It was a bit of a fine line between adding all the relevant/necessary components and adding too much and having it look like somebody vomited Lego onto a technic frame. Definately a style to try again but for now I'm happy to see the back of this monstrosity!

You can see here that the neck, leading to the cockpit, leans to the left. Oh well, at least it's not the only thing around here that does...

Ba-boom tish!

Yeah, that slight lean to the left does add a certain realistic feel to it and... OHHH, it's a space ship... Yeah, that works too. ~ Chris.

Does it have a full interior? I know it's kinda small, but if it had an interior, that would be pretty darn cool.

Interesting, to say the least. That framework and bubble canopy are smashing, as they say.

You started with a frame/cage and added the guts. Simply spectacular. Love the components slammed in that frame!

Looks interesting. Not many MOCs around have a frame. Have to wonder what a mecha built in this style would look like.

Now that is cool. I love the exterior framing. It sort of reminds me of an exo-skeleton. It makes it look tough and industrious. Great job!

Man, I really need that bubble canopy (twice!) if I'm ever gonna build that frog mech. Where did you get that? Oh, and excellent build, ShannO! Love the landing gear and the skeleton WIP pic is inspiring too!

Very nice :) It has that good ol' abused looks. Exactly the way a real space ship would look like after oodles of light years in depths space.

Cool rig! I like that external skeleton action.

One of the truer 'space ships' I've ever seen; I like the exoskeleton and the exposed, intertwined mechanics. Its full of character and I like the whole thing.

Definitely one of the strangest littlest birds I've seen in long time, but in a wonderful way! I'm guessing this ship was only intended to fly in deep space because I would think would be a "cooked goose" during a re-entry burn without some kind of shielding! The whole design kind of reminds of an old TV show called "Space 1999" starring Martin Landau. Any hoot, it's great to see new stuff from you, keep it up.

Sweet build, the technic frame with all the interior greebling exposed really looks great!
