Hey everybody, I'm back! I'm finally out of my dark age. I decided to upgrade my blaze trooper design this time. I apologize in advance for the lack of a white background. It's just that the vig was too large to fit on set. Enjoy.
About this creation
The clone has a zipline that is attached to the blaze trooper's jetpack.
The zipline is totally gravity powered, and the clone actually does move. That's why I was holding the clone in the previous pic. The blur is from the clone's descent, NOT PHOTO-EDITING.
Tada! It's my new droideka redesign! It's got a better color scheme and actually folds up and rolls! Note that the clone's rifle is partially in the shield.
Looks like that droideka can't judge distances nor avoid overshoots. Note the smoke effect on the rifle.
Sorry for the weird black background, but that's because I took the pic at an angle and my computer automatically rotated it. Note the Gimp flames.
This is a Separatist listening device; note the inward slopes. It receives Republic messages and sends them back altered.
The clear wall is supposed to be a ray shield.
My building technique for the platform was sticking flat pieces in between the studs to get 90 degree angles. This is totally purist, btw.
And for the main attraction, here is my new blaze trooper!
The things on the legs are extra jet thrusters to maintain control in flight.
The small, yellow missiles are anti-infantry. The large, blue missiles are anti-vehicle.
The trooper fits snugly inside.
Just like in the Revenge of the Sith video game, the trooper can kill its enemies by bear-hugging them to death, hence the extra arm joints. The target in the pic is a super battle droid, if you can't really tell. I wanted to include this feature because it was one of the most annoying attacks that I encountered in the game. The concept of being hugged to death and/or melted to death was just hard to avoid, wouldn't you agree?
