Smith: Commander Hawkins!
Hawkins: Yes Smith, what is it?
Smith: I noticed a cloud of dust on the horizon, it appears to be a vehicle coming this way.
Hawkins: What sort of vehicle?
Smith: Ah, it's Moses and Vonstein returning from their recon mission.
Hawkins: Ah, good. Stay on watch, I'll go down to meet them. Jefferson! Come out here! Moses and Vonstein are back!
Jefferson: Yes Sir! I just finished repairing the shotgun.
Hawkins: So vonstein, how was the recon?
Vonstein: Very well Sir! we have important news!
Moses: Yes, the news is of critical importance.
Hawkins: Then we should report it to Odin's Throne immediately.
Hawkins: Vonstein! Jefferson! Go relieve Smith on lookout, and send him down to me.
Vonstein and Jefferson: Yes Sir!
Hawkins: Ok, Moses, so tell me what you found...
Vonstein: Hey Smith, Hawkins says we are to relieve you, he wants to speak with you immediately.
Smith: Alright. What did you find?
Vonstein: Something Critical, but I'm sure the boss will tell you when you get down there.
Smith: Ah, fine! Keep your secrets for a little longer.
Hawkins: Ah, here you are Smith. Turn around! I must report this Immediately! This discovery is off critical importance!

So, one day I was thinking: "hmm, I wanna build some cool figs with these really awesome torso pieces (the ones i used for Jefferson and Vonstein) so I made some post-apoc figs. Then I was in the mood, so I built one of the old school pickup trucks, and then converted it into a post-apoc armored truck, with a machine gun! and at that point I was really into the post-apoc mindset, and so I built the little outpost too!

yeah, some of my oldest pieces are kinda dusty, but I love that 7x7 corner! I got it in my very first lego set.
The "classic pickup truck" transformed into an armored post-apoc machine of speed and death.
