After My initial success with my first creation (8 views and 0 Comments in two days! Woohoo!) I felt greatly emboldened to step into these unfathomable waters one further. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you, the Series 4 Darkdroid 199-738-Y Trooper. Read and creep.
About this creation
This Droid was initially intended to be an antagonist towards my Bounty Hunter team in the SW Universe, so here is a backstory:
The Series 4 Darkdroid 199-738-Y Trooper was created under the watchful eye of The Coporate Alliance Major-Commander Gulguk Tergo, known throughout the inner core as "The Blades of Gremlins". He wanted a new model of battle droids, more capable and deadly than the common B1 Battle Droids, not only to make his job easier but in search of a promotion (Typical Military Commanders) to Admiral. His previous model, the Series 4 Darkdroid 199-738-Z Assasain, was capable of fighting close quaters extremly well, but was hard to program, lacked armour, was incapable of fighting long-range weaponry and costed too much to maufacture. His next model now has much tougher armour and is equiped with very powerful long ranged weapons, while still mantaining some deadliness to those close up. The Series 4 Darkdroid 199-738-Y Trooper is his latest creation to date.

With that aside, here's the front. Apart from a single photoreceptor glowing an evil red, it is coated entirely with black paint, like the predeccessing Z Assasain. Much larger than an average minifig, it looms over enemy clone troopers, jedi, and rebels, big gun blasting them to pieces.

Side view. It has one claw free to pick up, throw and smash things. This is it's primary close range weapons. Not as good as the Z Assasain, but it works.

Back view. Pretty featureless, apart from it's communication aerial.

Top view. Meh.

In case any of you are wondering about how I did the ankles, here's how. I think this weakens the pieces and it wasn't my first option, but economics aside, it was the best looking design I had. Which isn't half bad. Its pretty rad. I'm glad. But the pieces are sad. And so are the mods.

The gun. If you want to use it, please give credit, even though I may seem unimportant. But if you forget, or if you wish to debate the fact, I don't really care. Besides, it's too big for a minifig to hold, and I hear that purist minifig weapons are all the rage these days.

The Series 4 Darkdroid 199-738-Y Trooper Holding the gun. BOOM!

Series 4 Darkdroid 199-738-Y Trooper standing next to it's upcoming prototype. Coming soon, the Series 4 Darkdroid 199-738-X Commando.
And that concludes my second creation uploaded on MOCpages to present date.
*Note*: You may notice that I mention Series 4 Darkdroid 199-738-Z Assasain alot. It does exist, but it looks really cruddy and insignificant, and I care about my dignity, thank you.

I forgot to say Please Rate and Comment. I realize that people who forgot to or don't want to comment won't look at the comments, and those who actually were going to comment might not when they see a "PLEASE WASTE YOUR TIME AND VOICE YOUR OPINION SO THAT I MAY RISE IN REPUTATION AND DIGNITY AND EVENTUALLY RULE THE WORLD" sort of thing, but I have a natural taste for attention and I crave popularity. Tis' a natural thing. Anyway, your thoughts will be appreciated greatly. |
