REPAIRED: Tuesday, September 13, 2011 this too was repaired from the loss of all pictures dude to the "system crash" we had a week ago! UPDATE NEWS: April 16, 2011: Just a few more pics. A couple is picking out their tree. An axman has been hired to trim the branches and the log cutter finally got an electric saw! Now if we can get him to use it! UPDATE: I kept thinking this scene is missing something! I couldn't figure out what! Then I saw pics of a tree kit in my neighborhood and there it was a rool of cord to tie the trees!
So without further ado I ordered the parts and there it is!
I am extending the lot to include 2 more trees and I already have the shopper! Sometimes LEGO doesn't think an idea through that they leave up to us.
Well I took their idea of a Christmas Tree booth from the "Winter Bakery" and I embellished it as a "Christmas Tree Lot".
I used the booth and modified it a bit.
We see Joe warming himself up by the fire, it's a cold winter's day after all.
His friend Bob has brought him an Italian Hero Sandwich and is walking his dog (in a coat), as Frank is choping up the left over wood.
I customized the figures and dog.
I used the sled from this years Advent Calendar and modified the wood horse from the 2009 Advent Calendar.
Guess they'll be selling a lot of trees this year!
About this creation
For one year I will honor, remember and respect the victims of 9-11. Each of my creations will have a 9-11 memorial starting off the page. I'd like to give a big handshake, hug, kiss to all the people here on MOCpages that remembered by creating WORLD TRADE CENTER buildings done in LEGO you too honor the fallen of 9-11 GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
the lego kits issue, they want to sell them at the lowest price! i buy 2x each for creativity freedom, i never consider buying just one, it s too restrictive, i love symetry, and i get satisfied best by having parts in pair! as for the tree stand in question, i used it to create a new caracter in my city, i made his stand, cabin, and truck, i like your version, the fire design, and wood holder is brilliant! i love your use of fig collection elements, it s very useful for a distinctive looks! very nice work!
