CPS 'Devastator' K-class Destroyer.
My fourth ship for the Coalition. This one is a good example of the new flatter and wider style of ships that the Coalition has adopted.
About this creation
I was just experimenting with different ship designs, and I came up with a few. This is probably the only one I consider worthy of posting to MOCpages. It is a destroyer, built mainly for wrecking UNE ground bases with it's 6 downward pointing heavy MAPD (Magnetic Accelerated Projectile Drive) cannons.

The destroyer is also armed with a 'standard' forward uber MAPD ship destroyer, 8 ISSBM silos (Inter Stellar System Ballistic Missile), two forward pointing MAPD guns, and 10 side facing rotary flash turrets (for nailing incoming fighters and such at close range).

The ship is perfectly capable of entering atmosperes like Earth's, landing however is a completely different story. (Most Coalition ships are built in space, for space combat only- this ship being one of the few exeptions.)

I'll shut up and let you look at the pics. Enjoy :P

An underside view showing the heat vent grills and the 10 hangars between the grills and the central shaft of the ship.

Thanks for looking!

Possible upcoming projects:
Great Crusades style old COP ship.
'Reaper' COP drone.
Minifig scale A6 Valkyrie.

Quoting Danny Morgan It's rare to get a 5/5 from you. :P
How true. I'm picky when it comes to building; if I don't like 95% of the build, I don't post it until I get it right. I guess that picky-ness seems to carry over to my comments. :P

For all people not familiar with the COP UBER MAPD, yes that is a closed blast door, not the whole barrel. Looking good Danny, you might rival Awe sooner or later. keep em coming.

Sweet, the new design is FTW, and I see that I'll become it's friend easily. Plus, I have to agree with Awe, your building skills are substancial. Just one constructive criticism: Try to make a deeper barrel for the MAPD, it gives a nice look. 6 studs lenght (high if it's SNOT) is awesome. Oh, and by the way, you haven't answered what kind of propulsion COP uses.

As far as destroyers go this ones nice, I agree with the deeper barrel suggestion unless it has a door to keep debris clear and opens when its ready to fire. Great clean build.

Very nice destroyer you've got here. Looks like a planet sieger, sounds like a planet sieger, and even tastes like a planet sieger. I like the design thuroughly.

Nope, no hover engines here, aside from very small ones (often created with VC help). Rockets and jets are how we roll.

Quoting Awesome-o-saurus The Not-So-Great Excellent work here, you're fast becoming one of our top builders. Since this ship can enter atmosphere (despite the lack of downward facing engines for lift), I see the point of downward facing weaponry.
hmm, I would have thought in the COP we'd have some kind of form of lift other than rocket engines perhaps?
