crane truck made from parts of creator 5765 set. this set offers tyres often used in city size vehicles, very few transparent bricks for windows, blue as a main color followed with decent amounts light bley, orange, yellow and a bit of white. there are enough of bricks for making snot and hinging. and of top of that it s affordable with good piece/ price ratio. so i had the get this set and see what alternates can be made out of that.
About this creation
i m a fan of vehicle building so first thouht about building a dumper truck because i wanted to include some moving option. made this same car with blue cabin but the trunk in orange/ yellow or light bley wasn't coming together to look good. so changed the plan and went for crane at the back of the truck. the propeller part was perfect for making basis for it and the hinge parts took care of making a lift-able crane.
let's look at a few pics. the front view. the big grill and side bumpers make the design of cabin good looking. the colors are kept in section, blue for cabin, light bley for chasis part and orange/ yellow for crane as a result of that the truck looks balanced.
sideview. the chasis and cabin of car is very stable due to lots of studs up build and plate contact. the not so durable parts are the front grill with it s snot construction and the crane with it s few connection points.
the rear look. the design is kept simple and containing only detail of functionable stuff like rear lights, rear grill, orange attention light of crane cabin and yellow grill of crane cabin motor.
and here s the crane in action. the dark bley on the cabin roof is good for fixing the crane in stable position during the ride. the crane is operable in 360 degrees, and can lift the stuff up and down wherever it needs to be placed.
Thanks for watching.
have fun with Your alternate builds !!
to Nathanael Kuipers: although it seems to be not as promising for vehicle alternate builds as 5867 or other super speedsters but this set still works good as a way for getting parts for reasonable price...
to Senator Chincilla: making alternate building look easy...that sounds inspiring, thanks!
Nice to see an alternate from you again. It was also a very interesting read, explaining the model. I dig the SNOT-ty front. Still not sure if I should purchase the set; it doesn't seem as good as the Creator sets in the same price range from the past years...
