Quite a few streets away, in the park, just outside Benjamin's hideout, was a lot of excitement, there was also a lot of guns, but obviously this made it even more exciting. Benjamin saw another batch of Ghostland Troops pile up to attack his hideout, his men were holding out bravely, doing as much damage as they could do, but it was obvious that soon the Ghostland troops would break through, he looked around, almost an entire squad carrying wounded had arrived! Suddenly he set up his mind,
"Jim, do all you can, no to hell with that, do Everything to stop the enemy getting in, I'm going to ease the tension!" Jim stared, firing a rocket at a Ghostland plainer, and blowing three into the air,
"Ok, do what you can, but don't get hurt." Said Jim slowly, Benjamin nodded, and then suddenly charged towards the nearest exit, gunning away anyone in front of him that was wearing white.
Benjamin was outside his house, he'd shot one of the soldiers, who was slumped up against the wall, another one was running at him,
"Are we actually here?" Asked Frontline
"No, but we are." Replied Cade,
"What?" Said Chris,
"This is History, the record shows exactly what happened this day, this minutes, thirty years ago. Basically we're standing in between then and now, don't try to fire your gun because you'll shatter the universe." Cade obviously knew how this sort of thing worked.
Benjamin stared down at the body, it had flipped over in the air, and landed face down, which was quite a relief, there was a click, he looked over his shoulder,
"This is where Benjamin's Dad got it wrong, he drew his knife and threw the same moment the officer shot him, that's why he died with his hat." Said Cade, Benjamin felt a weight in his pocket, his gun was nowhere near him, he then remembered that he had fired the final bullet, then the situation struck him, and in a movement that cannot be described, for it was too fast to even contemplate thinking about it, he threw the knife, the officer seemed to hesitate, he pulled the trigger. It was fatal, but suddenly there was a blinding flash, a black figure they had not noticed seemed to colour, then the world went black.
Almost three days later, Chris and Frontline were in their office, Cade was also there, but Sub-culture was still being treated,
"That, was history." Explained Cade
"Mhm, and I doubt I'll be trying it out again in a hurry." Cade laughed at Chris's remark, Frontline scratched his head, and inspected his finger tips,
"Where-" A piece of ceiling fell down almost on Frontline, who dodged at the last second,
"Chris?" Asked Frontline as he noticed how scorched the plaster was, Chris turned his eyes up to the ceiling and leaned back in his chair, Cade raised an eye brow,
"I shall return some time." Said Cade,
"And give us another assignment." Muttered Chris
"Yes, I shall, a nice sticky one as well." Cade quickly ran to the door and closed it before the small but harmless piece of plaster could hit him.
"Well I'm going to bed..." Said Chris
"I'll write down the case then." Said Frontline
"You do that." Chris then fell asleep in his chair, but then slowly fell off when Frontline shoved him out the way so he could get out the typewriter.
