About this creation
Hey boys and girls, it's your favorite webhead saving the day again! Doctor Octopus is on the rampage and Spidey just saved one guy from falling to his death and is swinging as fast as his little webs will carry him to take on the "good" doctor. In a rare showing here, I'm actually gonna shut the (bleep) up and let the pics tell the story! See ya in fourth wall!

Fourth Wall Commentary: I was watching Spider Man last week and realized that there was a lack of Spidermocs out there. "Well, that's a simple fix" I thought and got to work. I had a lot of fun designing Doctor Octopus' arms. I tried a few different designs before I came up with the one here which I think really came out nicely. Oh, and I've found out the hard way here that I CANNOT build cars. I'll just leave that to guys like Firas from now on and I'll stick to the easy stuff.

I think I may have one more build in me before I start working on Brickworld stuff. BW is only 5 months away and that time will slip away before we know it. Oh, and the AFOL brick is not in this build, sorry (while I was typing this I saw the brick sitting on the shelf and was like "%&$#... too late.")

Well, that's all for now everyone! Thanks for checking it out!
Till next time true believers!
~Chris.

There really is a serious lack of spider-man mocs. I'd build some if I had the figs (may cracklink them). Anyway, too the moc! This makes up for the lack of spidey mocs! The streets are excellently detailed and full of action! Doc-ock's arms are much better than Lego's official fig! Well done!

Quoting Rodney Killam Nice scene. Love the live action. What's an AFOL brick? Excuse my ignorance.
Simple answer. Last year I won the AFOL of the year award in the annual MOCie awards. The previous year's winner, Shannon Young, passed the torch by building me a trophy. In the package was an extra 1x8 brick that said "2010 AFOL of the year." Shannon suggested that I try to use the brick in all of my builds. I've been able to use it a lot but not all of them. This was one build that it didn't make it in.

Very nice, great job capturing a spiderman-doc oc confrontation, nice buildings as well, nice scene, now those cars...they don't fit very well in the diorama, it's funny how this high quality city neighborhood is infiltrated by those 'things' on wheels (just enjoying evaluating this weak point of yours), Anyway, I love it, good job

Spock, da Rock, DOC OCK, and Hulk Hogan! This is intense! But no Phipson-Cop cameo? Just have him sitting on a bench right beside the carnage, calmly chomping on a doughnut, or something. (the bit at the start is a quote form the song: The Ultimate Showdown Of Ultimate Destiny, search it on Youtube, funny stuff)

Hans, thanks for the link. To be honest, I don't buy bricks off the Internet. Everything I have comes from a set I bought off the shelf (at either a discount store or on sale if possible). Maybe someday that will change. As a side note I took your suggestions (except the background one-need to get some black material, and retook those pictures of my last mech). If you get the chance, let me know if these are better and where I still need improvement. Thanks again.

Very nice Chris, lovely sense of motion and a really detailed street scene too. I guess there is some kind of support in those arms - technic tubing? Whatever it is, it works a treat for suspending Dr. Octavius. Next, I want to see Kraven the hunter! Freddie Mercury lookalike in a lion skin...

Most excellent storytelling. The buildings look great (yeah, cars suck. That's why I build rat rods and call it good enough) and the overall action in the scene has this old Spidey fan pining for the days of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko (look 'em up kids). Your choice of camera angles and placement tells me you're starting to think more cinematically in your photography, which makes things more interesting than a bunch of photos taken from the same basic angle. I digress ... I really like this one, and it features one of my all-time favorite villians, too!
