Here comes another experimental scout droid, designed and constructed by ambitious and well payed separatist scientists and engineers.
The "Bed bug", as it is called, is a hovering spy drone designed to detect even the faintest movements while sneaking past watchful eyes undetected.
For that purpose it is out fitted with a combination of tracking systems and maybe the quietest repulsor engine in the clone wars era.
About this creation
Most recognizable are the protruding aerials. On there tips they carry sensors capable of noticing concussions in the ground without touching it and variations in air pressure. The optical compound sensors at both sides of the head watch everything without a dead angle.
Some blood lusty general demanded a weapon system for the "Bug", obviously with the intention to use it for assassination missions.
Therefore a ultralight version of a mass driver is installed underneath the head. The high velocity of the projectile and the fact that it emits only a faint withe flash, make it hard to designate the droids position. Still the efficiency of the weapon is highly questionable due to its massive energy consumption and its restricted usefulness in mast terrains caused by the low hovering altitude of the drone.
The bug on its back ...
Small generators and projectors, combined with experimental stabilizer technology, create a low force field with drastically reduce radiation and sound emission. The low profile of the drone might be helpful in regions with less cover. The separatist colour scheme will be replaced by different types of camouflage when it leaves the testing facility.
