I got bored and then the LEGO finger started to itch again, so I started building. I always like to revisit a past MOC and remodel it. This time I redid the Guardian. Because of time shortage I ignored the interior and tried to focus mainly on the shape of the ship. Ohh, and to make it as Studless as possible.
I tried to avoid it, but ol grey is almost impossible to get now on Bricklink. Hence the mixing of grey and bley.

Just took a close look at the pictures. The top and bottom seems very similar in the slope design, so you didn't use inverted slopes for the bottom right? Maybe bricks with studs on the sides were used? Just curious to ask since I love the sleek design. Great work.
That's correct, not a single inverted slope was used. Through the use of hinge-plates I managed to make a spinal core along the whole length of the ship that has studs facing up and down. This enabled me to make a virtually identical top and bottom from the end till midship. Only differences are the radar-ish thingy on top, the landing gear setup at the bottom and some minor greebling. |

Excellent job! Believe it or not, I had an idea for a very similar shape, name, and color ship. I do believe I should get credit here for you reading my mind! LMAO Just kidding, we all know you nailed it way better than I ever could! :P |
