Although essentially an entirely new vehicle, VDS presents the MACV Mk.II. The Medium Armored Combat Vehicle was designed in response to overcome previous concerns with the original MACV. This particular design still features the original Class-II MRAP characteristics, but is on a much larger scale compared to the original. The MACV Mk.II now integrates larger communication modules as well as self-defense capabilities in the former of a CROWS or any additional armaments added by the crews. The aft section is now more open to transport medium-capacity payloads and/or additional dismounts not within the cab of the truck. When performing the usual APC role, the aft is covered with a light, composite semi-cylindrical unit that is capable of stopping munitions up to 14mm in most cases. The only true relation to the original MACV is the fact that the engine components and things of that nature are shared between the two designs; making field repairs and replacements with original operators more cohesive.
Looks great, mate. I'm liking all the bits behind the cab. Nice to see the addition of a weapons system. Seems like it would be a tough nut to crack, though you broke it four times. Before you dismantle it, maybe you could make a four-door version with a shorter cargo area to make it more like an M-ATV.
