Another Creation from 6743... this time completely without wheels :)
About this creation

The Turtle is a deep sea exploration submarine. It developed by itself. The only thing I knew when creating this was, it was going to have no wheels and first I thought it would become a space ship of some kind.

I tried to add a lot of credible detail to this model...

...like these movable searchlights, one with a special filter that won't disturb deep sea life.

This is the water-jet propulsion system. By tilting the units, the jet may be sent in different directions to improve manoeuvrability and to blow away sediment from searching areas.

The head of the Turtle. On the picture below you may see the two different searchlights. Integrated in the head are sensors, cameras and additional stationary lights.

Due to the limitation of pieces I decided to make the model unsymmetrical in some details. One of the submarine's arms for operating underwater is reinforced for tougher jobs, for example functioning as lever to move boulders.

On top of the hull there are two detachable pulse emitters connected to a 6000 ft long wire. In emergency situations they float with the wire upwards to amplify radio signals from the submarine to the surface. At the side there are bull's eyes which protrude far enough to look down the hull.

The turtle in action :)

Must have been a vehicle of some kind...

My reaction was too quick. I assumed it would be black, but after looking again it is indeed grey in this set. My mistake. Yeah I know that in your creation it is ofcourse not representing a steering wheel, but an air-lock of some kind. ;)

Quoting Nathanael Kuipers Nice to see a creation from you again! I like the details you were able to include, and the way your 'ship' is build in general. I also enjoyed your write-up; it was quite entertaining to read! ... But shouldn't the steering wheel be black?
Steering wheel? Which steering wheel? ;) I don't know if it should. My set only contained this one. Do you think its gray by mistake? That would make my set special wouldn't it? If you look at my other MOCs from this set you will see the same steering wheel. But thanks for your quick comment as always :)
