The more I think about it the more you were right: The bumpers I suggested would be too thick for the real look. How about some sliding rails like the ones I used on the sides of my Cobra(s)? |

@Nils O. : That idea of yours sounds clever, the reason I didn't use bumper is that I wanted to capture the pure Golf Mk1 look.

That's a very cool model of the "Strawberry Basket" as it was called in Germany because of the rollbar. I like the shape and it's great that it works for a minifigure, too. I have an idea for the bumpers: Instead of the 1x4 SNOT brackets you could use 2x2 SNOT brackets and make bumpers with 1x4 plates and tiles. Just an idea, though, its your model :-)) |
