I decided to build myself a self-MOC. Although I would prefer a ret Kakama, Miru or even Akaku, I only had a Hau.

Just built Chibi Obsessionist. Take a look when you can. :P |

Never been a fan of that mask, But it seems neat. Well, I'm glad you got it all figured out how you want it. I don't know many Red and purple color schemes that are in Selfmocs. Maybe I'll make you a Chibi some time, And Feature you in my first moc, My selfmoc. I'll hope you'll like him, I'm trying to kick the Iginka Arms on him though.
You're pretty neat, your going on my favorite builders, like, right now. |

Look at Cody G's Selfmoc, Solnus, He has a silver mask of speed and not much of those are around, But people go around that, using different color schemes and masks. I'd think it be cool to see toa obsessionist in different colors than just red and gray. 'Sides alot of people would use the gray Ruru that was released in '01. It'd only be coping Callan if you use his same Dark red and marbled silver mask. There are a quite a few people that use a ruru as their selfmoc's mask, But I'm not aware of anyone using a Mata red Ruru, ;) Go original and have fun, mate.
Solonus is indeed awsome. As far as color schemes, I'm planning to get rid of as much grey as possible and go with a mata red, purple and gold color scheme. I don't want to use any Ruru for the very reason that so many people do. Besides, I like the red Akaku better. :) |

Since the pictures no longer show up, you should Revamp your self-moc with your Misprint Ruru! That'd be beast
I actually considered it. I'd love to use the red Ruru. I decided against it, though, because A) so many people use Rurus in their self-MOCs, B) Callan already uses a red-shaded Ruru, and I don't want to copy him, and C) very few people would be able to build my self-MOC because the misprint Rurus are so rare and expensive. I did buy a red Akaku, which I plan on using in a revamped Toa Obsessionist. |

Overall it looks good, especially the creative legs. The torso is good too, but it seems too bulky on the lower half - this is probably because the Rahkshi foot is positioned so low on the torso and the top part consists mostly of Technic pieces. It might require a bit of redesigning, but you should raise the Rahkshi foot so that it is positioned at the top of the torso - that way, the widest part of the foot is positioned near the shoulders (where the torso is already widest) instead of protruding from the sides. Also, the upper arms have significant gaps, though I can see how eliminating those would be hard. You could try using those oval pieces with the offset axle holes so that the gap is decreased to 1/2 stud instead of 1 stud, though this would also decrease the arm length by 1/2 stud as well.
My main problem with the torso was the inclusion of the cross. It made the technic neccessary. The bulkey torso and the gap are the two parts that I had the most trouble with, eventually I just got fed up and uploaded it here. I will be sure to take some of your advise in version 2. |

Great MOC! Even though the design is simple, the build is really good. The torso could use some more angles, but its build is really ingenious and intrincated. Its always good to see Toa-MOCs like this, with more brain than "coolness"... |

Good sir, you outdo yourself once again. I've never seen that shin technique used before.
Shin armour used as shin armor, or the launcher thing? |

Nice MOC. If you're in need of peices, look on bricklink.com. They all kinds of pieces, BIONICLE and Kanohi included.
