4-wide minifig scale sport car.
About this creation

This car is partially inspired by those in the set 3648 Police Chase and 3661 Bank and Money Transfer.
However, I modified the design to correct some of the imperfections that afflict modern 4-wide Lego cars, mainly the wheels that are larger than the vehicle itself and that make the cars very unrealistic. I used a smaller kind of wheel that come from the Mini Racers set. In addition, I found that using the 2x4 tiles on the sides gives a better sense of proportion and hides the dark bley base. Unfortunately, in this way the car doesn't have working doors.

I worked on the rear by putting lights higher and putting a glass. A minifig can fit regularly in the car by removing the roof.

great sport car! a lot of nice concepts and details! as opposed to you I really like the wheels that are a bit out of the fenders, I find it more racy, I know that it does nt look as realistic as racers wheels, but, I m not going for that, as for the side plates, it s brilliant, I admit that the grey frame bothers me a bit, I d prefer all red, your hatchback is also very cool, it s not often that I get to see fig cars that compares or surpasses mine, well done!

This is an Audi TT Coupe, preferably a 2006 model. Very nice rendition.

This is a great build. I like how you sloped the back and your use of wheels. These look so much better for cars than the LEGO standard that they put in all of their sets. Welcome to LEGO Cities by the way. Regards, Eric.

Very nice and sporty looking car! The plates on the sides, in combination with the extensions overhead the wheels, make it look 5-wide - so in other words: perfect in relation to minifigs! Good job on creating a sporty car with rounded shapes. Best regards, Steffen

This is an exceptional 4-wide! Had you not mention the side paneling, I wouldn't have noticed, yet it makes the car look so much better.

Quoting Ryan Link Nice! Usually I don't care for 4-wide cars, there just isn't enough opportunity for detail, but this is great. There's room for a minifigure and the shape is very sporty. I especially like the side mirrors, what a clever idea. Nice work!
Thanks! I have to admit that the idea of the side mirrors come from the official set 3648 Police Chase!
