The true story of how I broke my arm, my entry for The Great "Ouch" Contest. This moc made it to the list of "Popular this Week" on mocpages.
About this creation
This is unofficially the first backyard trampoline on mocpages.
My friend did not push me out, just to clarify.
I did a backflip and then ripped through the safety net.
And this vig is my entry for The Great "Ouch" Contest. If you need a picture proving its on an 8x8 base, I can upload one, but you can just take my word for it that it is, and then it overhangs to 14x15. And I did use a Lego brand trampoline for the net, which worked very well.
And a WARNING! If you have a weak stomach, then please skip the next picture.
This is an actual picture my dad took when I broke my arm, because this actually happened. Annnnd it hurt. A lot. And no I'm not unconscious in the picture, although it does kinda look like it. Both bones in the forearm were fractured, and one bone poked through the skin. This happened in August of 2010, and the guy on the trampoline with me was my friend Johnathon. On February 13th, this moc made it to the list of "Popular this Week" on mocpages.

The pics didn't work could you please fix them (except maybe the last one :P ) P.S. that (between the parenthesis) was just a joke, not to be taken seriously. |

This is an awesome depiction of a "trampoline incident" at work. I can picture in my mind it happening, even though based on the real picture I don't like to. Nice job on the design of the trampoline itself. |

This is great! on a side note, my Mom is a nurse, and she always told me that more than 75% of broken bones in kids came from trampolines, So she never let me get in one. |

And what a trampoline it is! I just love originality and realism and with your build you will probably win. I'd give you a 10/10 but I'm pretty critical and don't like plate overhang too much, but it's still a 9/10. Good job!
Yeahh, I know the plate overhang is a bit of a cheap shot, but I made a smaller trampoline and it just wasn't right, I had to build the base to fit the trampoline, sorry to disappoint with the build conditions. |

That had to hurt. The netting is cool. You should cover the top with netting, and add a wall half way up the sides. It would make a good bunker, or MG nest |

Great little MOC! I'm more qualified than most to say this is totally awesome because I own that EXACT sort of trampoline. Also, I can totally relate to your story: One of my sisters sprained her ankle on my trampoline. Then one day, my own ankle went 'pop' while I was on it, and I fell with a major sprain. I was on my back unable to move for weeks. Then, my other little sister (who was recovering from severe pneumonia) fell through the stupid safety net a month later and broke her arm (just like you!) After that, I just spat on the trampoline and haven't used it since. My little sisters still use it, though; nothing fazes little girls:) All in all, a great creation! I'm rooting for you to win! |

My friend almost did the exact same thing! He went right over the net after doing a backflip and grabbed onto it right before he fell onto a pile of old wood and rusty nails. It was pretty ninja. |

Nice/ouch!!! I was thinking about doing a trampoline build as well. Good idea! I can relate to this, I've ripped through the net before, although I got lucky and did not get hurt. Isn't the build suppose to be 8 by 8 though?
Thanks! It has to start on an 8x8 base, but it can have an overhang up to 15x15. Mine sits on an 8x8 and overhangs to 15x14. |
