The Stant Viper was one of the few successful Rahi created by Makuta Spiriah.

About this creation

The Stant viper is a snake like Rahi that is common to the thick forests, tundras and underground tunnels of the matoran universe. The Rahi averages in size from 4 feet to 6 feet. Their body is colored with tan and silver armor like scales.
The Stant Viper does not have venom like normal snake-like Rahi but instead of fangs they have pincer that when clamping onto something can secrete acid that can burn through most substances and the Stant Viper can control the amount used.
The Stant viper then uses this acid to dissolve rocks, tunnel walls, trees and the ground so that it can create it's lair.

The common diet of the Stant Viper consist of small insectoid Rahi which include Frost leeches, Rockworms, un-mutated Niazesk and even Protodites. The Stant Viper gathers it's prey via a sticky substance created by it's tail and will slither along the ground capturing the insectoid Rahi on its tail.
After collecting the insects the Stant Viper will rub it's tail against the wall of the it's lair to remove the clump of insect and have it stick to the wall. The Stant Viper will leave the sticky clump of insects on the wall for 2 days and after that time the sticky substance has dissolve the insects into pure energy that the Stant Viper sucks through tiny holes that run through the pincers and into the Stant Vipers body.
The energy created will support the Rahi for 4 days while it collects another clump and so on.
