DIRGE, G1 Decepticon Seeker Jet
Another G1 Conehead ... its Decepticon Dirge!
About this creation
Riding the coat tails of my last creation: G1 Ramjet click here and due to some engineering obstacles I am facing with my Devastator MOC I though I'd clear my head and make another cone head seeker based on my Ramjet design. I did make some mods as I based Dirge on the Generations toy not the original G1 model. Improvements to the previous seeker: an actual cone head (using a rocket nose cone piece), arm canons are closely based on the Generations Dirge toy not just big black bombs like in G1, and I changed the mid section design from the Ramjet design. And also a few more tweaks here and there. The wings like Ramjet are unique to each conehead seeker, Dirge's separate and are on 4 individual ratchet joints for increased poseability in robot mode. Model fully transforms from seeker jet to robot without removal or addition of pieces. Please check out the video click here to see the full transformation and for other timbits of information on this MOC. Well its back to Devestator hopefully Hook will be my next posting.

I also made the Coneheads at a somewhat smaller size. they are based on the Starscream i made but with different arms, they're respective wings and of course the nosecone which will come with the cockpit and will turn around for the head. Now back to this Dirge, an extraordinary detailed Conehead! great colors and cool legs!

there are three conehead seekers from the second or third season of G1 - Ramjet, Dirge and Thrust they sort of replace the original seekers which get killed or reformatted in the G1 Movie

NIce, as always! Love robot mode and all the blue. I'm not that keen on the jet mode because of the reversed plates showing, especially on the nose. There are various techniques for having tiles on both sides of a moc. Check out Izzo (which I'm sure you have). I've used a couple techniques of his to have tiles on both sides.
