The Katara type starfighter is small with fairly strong shields but only one gauss cannon, this lack of fire power limits it to fighter-to-fighter combat. The Katara's unique design not only allows for vertical takeoff and landing but also maximizes hanger space, making it ideal as a frigate support craft.

Neat little fighter. The engines are my favouriten It looks as though it takes off a bit like Slave 1 in Star Wars.
