Antonov AN 225 V.2
My improved version of my Antonov AN 225. Bigger, better, stronger... Keywords: AN-225 Antonow AN225 Russia Cargo Aircraft Heavy Airplane
About this creation

Overview

2. Overview (I’m a little bit unhappy with the back)

Another overview

It’s huge…

…and much bigger than my previous version

Parking, notice the double front landing gear

Flying, a pretty photo

Sorry about the covering of the front landin gear…

You see, the back is quite too big

The painting was better at my first version

Bonus Pictures:

All parts avaible in normal LDD

A version with winglets,…

…which is quite cool,…

…but not real.

Quoting Andre Castillo Dont say that its not good, its awesome but Im serious about the landing gear of the C-17, It wont full close on my one. So have you think about the B-1 Lancer or Chinook. hehehe.
i updated the page of my C-17, and i uploaded a instruction. Should work.

Quoting Andre Castillo Please add the Back ramp and I dont think that the front part of it open opens, Oh yeah also update your C-17 because the main landing gear doesnt fully close.
I won't do anything of them, not for exactly these reasons. The AN 225 doesn`t feature a back ramp and my landing gear on the C-17 can close fully. I try to give you a picture how it works. :D I try to change the front, you're right, it's not so good.

Quoting Steffen Kasteleiner Felipe, I must say I´m really impressed by how your giant Antonov turned out. At first, I was critical because of your technique of imitating rounder sections of aircraft. Your technique is also used by the designers of aircraft in Legoland; though those aircraft are mostly not in minifig scale. Since your An-225 is minifig scale AND large enough to support the above mentioned technique, your new model looks absolutely awesome to me now. Congrats to you for this great achievement! Are you planning on building this with real pieces, BTW? This one would really be worth it, in my opinion. Best regards, Steffen
Thanks very much! I actually don't know if it's minifig scale or not. I think it's smaller as Minifig scale, because I don't build with blueprints or something, I just try to keep the design of the plane and build it so big, that it's playable.
Quoting John Lamarck Very nice model. I'd like to see it with real bricks too.
I also like to see it in real bricks, but it's very expensive (for me). The parts which are avaible with LDD are costing about 1400 €, I think the entire plane would cost 1500-1600 $ at bricklink.
