Gollum
"My precious, my precious..." This is the classic phrase associated with the character Gollum from Tolkien's Classic: Lord of the Rings. So I thought it was the perfect setting to display my first minifigure on MOC Pages!
About this creation

I sometimes have trouble displaying minifigures on a plain white background. They seem...naked...without something as a background or stand. This is so true for Gollum. He is always slinking around - somewhere - so I had to make that 'somewhere' for this minifig. Gollum is sitting on his island in the underground lake deep in the Misty Mountains. He has set the ring on a cleft of stone and is fondly playing with it.

This is 'Gollum's Rock' without the minifigure. The ring is set upon the uppermost cleft.

This is the Minifigure without his rock. The head is from the Emperor in the 2010 STARWARS set "The Emperor's Shuttle". I chose it because it best portrayed the evil, deformity of Gollum's pollution in his cave. The sunken, yellow eyes are the best at showing the hold of the Ring on Gollum. The body is from General Grievous.

THE RING OF POWER!!

Sorry, but he'll be a regular minifigure, as all humanoids are. The geonosian was even a minifigure rather than having a droid or skeleton like body.

Which is why I didn't like the geonosian. he looked too human. The minifigure didn't recreate the fluttering, wispy-ness of the geonosian. So I can't make Gollum a minifigure. He will look too 'human-', and less '-oid'. Gollum is so deformed, distorted and curled - he can't be an erect minifigure.

I love the design of Gollums body! I also like the face, because it shows his rancour...

Quoting Max Pointner I like it!! That face is too creepy for Gollum though. Just my opinion. He's not that evil.
I considered Darth Vader's face, but I decided I wanted to paint the picture of the EVIL and poisoning that took place in Gollum's cave. Hence the navy water and Emperor's face. I agree it is to harsh for SMEAGOL, but GOLLUM is quite evil in my mind.
