Small MOCs, parts of a big MOC.
About this creation
The fishing boats are around 50 studs long. (minifig-scale)
The red one is supposed to be from around year 1950.

The blue one from around year 1990 (albeit based on the original older design)

Some close-ups;

The technique used to build these boats are of course the same as used in the Calypso and the Cutty Sark. These boats are quite small though, and is probably close to the limit of what this hull-technique is useful for...

The car is supposed to resemble a 1959 chevrolet BelAir.

The basic design is not my own, but inspired by models found on the net. There are so many that I dont know who to mention for original credit. -Anyway it also holds a lot of my own original work...
-The same model as used in the "Olsenbanden" danish movies...

The VW T1 (Bulli) is also not my own design, but based heavily on the model made by Richard Brown (also here on MOCpages) -So credit to him!

The truck has no specific prototype, I just thought it looked cool. It is supposed to be from the 50´es or 60´es.

The forklift is also free fantasy, but I´d say its style indicate that it is from the 90´es.

I actually made a whole series of detailed instructions for this forklift!
See the photos on brickshelf;
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=462570
Here´s a group-shot of the forklift and the truck, unloading a ship-motor;

Some guys working;

Some kids playing;

"Bonus"-car;

I wasn´t really going to add more cars to the MOC, but this one came out so well, that I will just HAVE to find room for it...

Credit must of course go to ".Eti", whose work (http://www.flickr.com/photos/eti-eti/5446534652/) this car is based on!
-Also a sneak-peek on the big MOC;

Well, that´s all!
This entry is a kind of WIP, or at least for you guys to know that I am still building, although I haven´t posted here for some time.
My next contribution should be a big MOC, which all these small MOCs presented here are part of!

All these "small" mocs are excellent.
I especially like the cutters they are so right on to what a Danish cutter looks like.

What a great assembly here - I love every single one of those creations, Henrik! And the cars are so realistic and instantly recognizable - especially the Citroen and the VW "Bully" :) Great. The way to go. Nothing short of fantastic. Choose the words that you like the best:) Best regards, Steffen |

Thanks a lot guys! ;-)
The techniques used in the construction of the boats are basically the same as used for the Calypso, for which I made a "guide" here on MOCpages; http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/137324
Also, additional photos of the construction can be seen for the Cutty Sark and this project in my Brickshelf folder.
@joseph weber; I thank you very much for the offer, but as these ships will be in dry dock, no fishermen will be on board ;-)
@Vibor Cavor; The truck is pure fantasy.
Also, I can make "instructions" for the 2CV if interessted, but I must warn that it doesnt roll! -I actually made another one, just to have on my desk to look at... |

Brilliant! I love the fact that it all looks so like old-school LEGO. The only thing you would need now is a great looking fisherman's town. Ships are magnificent but vehicles... they are a jewel! I love vehicles especially, maybe that's why but you did an awesome job on that VW microbus. It is a best display of it I've seen in this scale. The same goes for the 2CV Citroen which is a breathtaking. And what a cool move to make it a surprise bonus. It is something I'd like to put on my shelf and watch all day long. That truck- I love it! The colors, the shapes, the wheels. Just tell me is it an existing truck or is it something you've made up? It reminds me of some old british trucks. |

Dude i love that old fashionded truck ITS SO COOL and love the scene where the forklift is unloading the motor anyway 2 things 1 does the forklifts forks move up and down and does the truck have instructions
The fork only moves up half-way (as shown in the unloadig photo) If you want more functionality the design of the tower must be changed. Should be posible without too much trouble...
Sorry, the truck has no instructions. (But you can take a look in my brickshelf-folder, where you can see it from all sides) |
