the Hammer class fighter is a ship designed to travel from a space station, capital ship, or planet, do as much damage as possible to its target, and run. Its eight laser turrets make it excellent at targeting and destroying enemy ships.
About this creation
this design was an attempt to make a multiple cockpit fighter in a non-traditional way (that is, two cockpits lined up one in front of the other.) the original design I had for this ship was much more organic, not as small and boxy, and did not have as many turrets. as usual, I let my fingers do the walking, and this is what I came up with.

This here is a quick shot to show you that the underside is indeed built, with some plates, little red lines, and even some more turrets.

"Captain! Their landing gear is fully operational!!"

as far as this was concerned, I put some plates studs-out on the back, and just put as many engines on there as I could fit. This obviously would not have the size to carry fuel and supplies for long-range missions, but given the size of that, it goes REALLY fast. You don't have to be aerodynamic if you're in space.

this shot gives you a good view of the whole thing.

this 'last thing you see' shot gives a better view of those big missile tube type things. the main reason I put those in there was actually because after I put the plates on, you could see straight through the thing, all the way into the back cockpits, so I needed something to fill that space up.
