It's no joke; it's a rope, Tuco. Now I want you to get up there and put your head in that noose.
About this creation
Just a simple little vignette I made for a movie vignette contest on my forums (SSLF). It's the last scene in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... the third in the famous series of westerns starring Clint Eastwood known as the Man With No Name trilogy.

"You see that's what Bill Carson told me... It's in the grave marked 'Unknown'... right beside Arch stanton."
In TGTBTU, Blondie (Clint Eastwood, the Good), Tuco (the Ugly), and Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef, the Bad) are all searching for a box of gold hidden in a graveyard.

This is pretty much the movie's final scene, so sorry if I'm ruining it for you. Even if you do know how it ends now, WATCH THE MOVIE! It owns. One of the most purely awesome movies ever made. Ever.

I was going to give Clint (Blondie) a regular LEGO cowboy hat, but it looked all wrong. He always, ALWAYS... wears a flat-brimmed hat, not a curvy Country Singer looking one like LEGO made. So I just put this Adventurers' hat on him. Just ignore the curved-up part on the back. Pretend it's the wind.

I avoided using decals, but I did use a marker (for the UNKNOWN sign) and some cloth cut-outs (for the jacket, poncho, and bags of gold). And of course the rope (taken from a blanket lying around the house... since LEGO's black ropes just wouldn't look right). Heh. Enjoy!

One of the most ridiculously intense scenes in spaghetti western history! I remember practically feeling the noose around my neck in this scene...Awesome job re-creating it! |

Very cool, great piece usage with the hat, the standard cowboy hat would have been so wrong. That poncho looks sweet too, well done |

I love this set! Awsome parts, man! I loved your other western creations (comics) on your website, and I think that you should make "The Good the Bad and the Ugly" comics too!!! |

Meh. Kinda stud-y when it comes to your level of creation. Still, 'tis a good vignette. It's just so...simple? I just can't think of a word for it. Then again, what are vignettes supposed to be? |

This is one of my all-time favorite movies. The setting is gritty, the characters are badass, and you just can't beat the music.
The vig is about as true to this classic western as you can get using Lego bricks. Nice work. |
