Story Tower: Revenge of the Sith
The idea to stack vignettes on top of each other to tell a story was first intoduced to me by Max Pointner (Who has a very nice Story Tower to check out as well). So I decided to start off my Bignette folder with a 9 level story tower about STARWARS Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
About this creation
Each level of this tower is an 8x8 vignette, with varying heights. Each of the nine scences are (in my mind) the most pivitol and recognizable scenes from the STARWARS episode. The first level is the opening scene, wheras the top level ends the movie. Also note the roman numeral 'III', SNOTed in the top. Enjoy!

This is the opening scene in the movie. My custom Anakin's Starfighter is chasing a vulture droid around a communications array. The artistic effect of the vulture droid sweeping out of the tower makes this one of my favorite levels.

This is the scene where Anakin is told to 'use your anger!' by Chancellor Palpatine. He thus defeats Count Dooku and his trasformation is kindled. Both Dooku and Anakin are complete figs from their respective sets, but Dooku has different hair: (Anakin's Starfighter & Vulture Droid [2005] and Count Dooku's Solar Sailer [2009])

The Jedi council. Originally the red pillars were exempt, but for support reasons I had to include them. However, I still like the open-air feel and the chairs for Yoda, Plo Koon, and Mace Windu.

Obi-Wan's desperation attempt to defeat General Greivous. This is where Greivous has lost 2 arms and all his sabers and charges Obi-Wan with an electrostaff. Then Obi-Wan shoots him while hanging off the landing-platform. Again, pole is purely for support. The back wall was fun to create.

This is the arresting of Chancellor Palpatine. Sasseen Tin and Agen Kolar have already been killed and Mace Windu and Kit fisto are left to face the sith lord alone. Palpatine is custom, but although the hood hides Windu's face - he is a complete minifigure from the 2007(8) set 'Republic Attack Shuttle'.

This is the representation of ORDER 66. A swamp clone has snuck up on Luminara Unduli while she is stationed on Kashyykk. There is a second clone behind the willow tree, but he is hard to see.

Yoda's confrontation with the new EMPEROR Palpatine. He has caught the sith's lightning in his hand and prepares to deflect the villain's leaping attack. Again, though the hood conceals his face, the Emperor is also complete from the 2010 set "Emperor's Shuttle".

The best lightsaber duel of all-time. All the figs and 5/8's of the pieces are from the 2005 Mustafar Duel set. This is my favorite level purely because of the orange-transparent floor and figs.

The transformation of Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader. The fire in the background is purely for 'cool' factor. Also the Roman Numeral 'III' is SNOTed into the wall using 2x1 plates in between the middle 'I'.

If someone asked me to define the word "epic," I would say to that person, "Christopher Baldacci's Lego Star Wars Episode 3 story tower." Holy cow! This is amazing! Why does this only have two little smiley faces? It should have two hundred! The micro ships on the bottom level are amazingly simple and representative, the Dooku/Skywalker fight scene is sweet, I absolutely love Yoda's council chair, Utapau and Kashyyyk are perfect, and Darth Vader at the top caps everything off. But what really astonishes me, is the sheer hight of the vignette, and the amount of minifigures in the project. Great work! Keep it up! Oh, I also wanted to ask you if you were shooting the pics with a DSLR. They look great!
