The Fence
The city confuses me... People are forbidden to go out in nature...There are fences blocking off all nature...I am a guard for one of them...I have shot innocent people who have tried to hop the fence...I have executed people who came to the fence from the wilderness....All for what? Why does the government forbid us from seeing nature? Well, now I'm going to find out....If I die...Well this will be the last time you hear from me...
About this creation
This was an entry for the FP Contest on the LCN. I didn't win but this is a build I am really pleased with...

Yeah, I rather expected that the set had been taken apart, but you can try different things next time. I usually like to see extra pictures as well, but sometimes you have shots that will only work from one angle. Besides, you should always leave people hungry for more! ;)

Quoting crash 703 Cool. Although it would be nice if there was more than one picture.
There is only a single picture as this is forced perspective. This entire thing was 8 studs long... I couldn't take another photo as the focus would have been lost...

Quoting Jeff Fauble It's only one picture, and not grandly impressive, but I find this small scene rather attractive! The clear, bright colors really give a clean feel to the picture, and the contrast between the grey foreground and colorful background feels very artistic. The plants obscuring the horizon allow you to pull off what looks to be a brick-built sky that makes a small scene feel spacious. One thing I'd do, though, is take two pictures: One without the minifigure and focused on the fence, and another with minifig in the shot in focus. Then edit the focused minifig into the shot without, so that you can clearly see both. It might be a bit of extra work, but that way you can clearly see all of the important elements of the scene and better appreciate the thought that went into it.
Thanks Jeff, although this build is long gone... I will make sure to utilize the technique of shopping the focused fig in for another build... Thanks though! :3
