U.S.S. Enterprise 1701 Bridge Diorama
Space, the final frontier, these are the voyages of the starship Enterprise.......
About this creation

Still on a little hiatis from building my signature Legoformers.. I decided to try my hand at another Star Trek MOC. This time I built the command bridge of the original U.S.S. Enterprise from Star Trek the original series. I think you will find my interpretation quite recognizable but for you hard core Trekkers (or Trekkies) I did not use the technical manual I used a little creative liberty and my youthful memories.

The minifigs have custom decals on them of which I obtained from the following ebay store. click here

Again I do not like customizing but this just puts the finishing touches on and I was really happy with this store's custom products. There are no other modified parts other than the tunics of the minifigs. I built the orignal crew and two security guards out of odds and ends from my minfig parts tub. The security guards' phasers are simply a Star Wars Clone Commander pistol held the opposite way with a technique bushing on the end.

The seats swivel especially Kirk's and the turbolift doors can slide open and shut for playability.

Enjoy, rate and comment...

The orignal U.S.S. Enterprise crew:

Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Uhura, Scotty, Chekov and Sulu plus two poor redshirts...

Quoting Finn Conlan Just got out of a 3 year addiction to start trek, I watched an episode to see how accurate this build is and it's now my 4th year of the current addiction

Hmm... never knew that Scotty had a mustache.

Oh deer, you may want to do your homework on the original Trek not that JJ stuff. Scotty seen here with 70s moustache (from one lonely episode) is indeed in a red shirt and the green is Kirk's secondary tunic from the original trek - all correct for the original series! Cheers! --
Quoting Commander Spencer, Ultimate Bionicle Fan Nice, but my only gripes are that Kirk should have a yellow shirt, and Scotty should have a red one.

Wow, that's cool! I hadn't found it before! Great choice of heads for the crew members, they are all matching. I especially like the way you used original tiles for the computer consoles and screens. Great job! :-)) P.S.: It's so sad that Trek has joined the Dark Side of the Brick with Cra-O (you know what I mean)...

I do its under bwtmt - but I only have my t joint superheroes posted. It would not make sense to put this up as Kre-O already has the license for Trek.
Quoting Disco Chicken Do you have an account on cuusoo? Because I think this might even be good enough as a lego set!

Quoting Someone ? Nice. The only thing I don't like is the mix of bley and gray. I give it 4/5. Also you should use the Brick arms Photon Pistol for phasers.

Wonderful, seeing this MOC has just put a huge grin on my face. There should be more classic Star Trek on MOCpages. The minifigs are ace.

Really fantastic job! I'd love to come up with a way to resize my Lego TOS bridge down to minifig scale. Excellent work and great photos!

Ipad Hmmm? Is it life imitating art... or was Rodenberry a visionary? .. I think probably the latter!
Quoting Raymond Drum I never really wanted to learn how to speak Klingon but, I am old enough to remember the show and I think you did an outstanding job, at least from what my memory serves, right down to the red hand rails surrounding the sunken part of the bridge. There is one thing that I would say is possibly missing; Kirk's Yeoman. The woman who always brought his coffee or whatever and carried around what I suppose today we would call an I-Pad. Oooo...isn't that wierd?
