About this creation

I've been meaning to change the look of the heavy wrecker for some time, in order to make it look less like a jazzed up 8285, which when you actually look at it, it shares little with other than details. The chassis and crane which were in red have now been completely rebuilt in black, and I've improved a few minor constructional details in the bonnet/second battery area. It doesn't look much, but took a few hours. I'm now in the process of rebuilding the factory 8285 in order to take some pictures of the two together, however then it's days are numbered. Unfortunately I don't have an endless budget and I need the parts from this truck to build the next. I have plans to start from scratch to build another even more complicated and even more detailed heavy wrecker.

Quoting Ape Fight A definate improvement over your first version, as this looks much more like a 'MOC', and less like a 'mod'. Great functions as before - but I'm suprised 1 XL has the power to shift it, although I guess Technic beams are lighter than bricks. I'm gonna be up to 4 XLs to power my truck when it's fully loaded. Looking forward to more from you
Thanks for the comments. The next truck does which is a WIP does indeed have 2x XL motors and so far pulls away far more easily. I'm having a few constructional issues at present, and taken a breather. It will get started again soon and appear on here eventually.

Quoting Nick Barrett This always was much more than a 'jazzed up 8285' and now it looks it. Nice job.
Thanks Nick, that comment means a lot to me. I've set myself a pretty high target for the next one, there are elements about this one that just don't 'work' for me and I really want to not feel like that about the next one. I just hope I can suceed.
