The beginning of a story that will take place in the far away land I created for my son called Koriin. My first attempt at a storyboard and real MOCs. Comments are welcome and appreciated.
About this creation

A missing Elven sentinel and a pillar of smoke is what drew a patrol of rangers to this scorched piece of sacred wood. Their discovery? A murdered friend who's remains had been desicrated. After years of peace, who would have done this?

A grim discovery. An unforgivable offense. An act of war.

A fallen friend laid to rest...now to find those responsible.

Those responsible for the murder of a fellow elf used magic to cover their tracks. Magic might fool a dwarf, but not elven rangers.

Every twig, every rock, and every leaf has a story to tell about who or what has passed by. You just have to know how to listen to them.

Not counting on the persistancy of elves to track them all the way to the north, the guilty stopped cloaking their tracks and picked up a wagon. The tracks were still fresh.

The wagon tracks terminated at the Onyxian Ruins - A series of ancient structures built around strange Onyx towers on the edges of the human Black Falcon Kingdom. The rangers arrived in time to see three undead feasting on a dead horse while two other's met in one of the ruins - a red head woman who looked oddly familiar and a lich wearing a burned tunic that appeared to bear the Black Falcon crest. Their sharp elven ears picked up most of the conversation.

The Witch Queen peered around the ruins and curled her lip "Where's the girl?"

"We had her, my lady, but..." the Lich Knight's rotten teeth chattered in his head "...we encountered a problem."

"What kind of problem?"

"We encountered an elf ranger who freed the girl from our grasp."

"AN elf? As in ONE?"

The Lich Knight swallowed hard. If he had saliva glands in his mouth, it would have leaked out of the rotten flesh in his throat. "He was...very fast, my lady. While we were dealing with him, the girl slipped away."

The Witch Queen sighed and shook her head. "Do I need to remind you of how important this girl is?"

"We looked all over for her and I left several geists in the area to find her."

"Let's hope for your sake, that they do."

The elven rangers had heard enough. Now was the time to strike! Arrows ripped through the air faster than anyone could count. Beheading the undead or shooting them through the eye was the only way to destroy their brain - an easy task for these expert archers. The sound of metal striking bone echoed throughout the stone ruins.

Without flinching, the witch queen raised her hand and caught one of the elves in the chest with a bright red flash of magic, knocking him back several feet. The bone rattling jolt bought the Witch Queen and Lich Knight just enough time.

With a puff of smoke, the Witch Queen and the Lich Knight were gone. The elves charged in to the ruins just in time to catch a nose full of sulfer. Who exactly where these two? Who was the young girl they were looking for?

The rangers would need help to find out.
