Modular Bank
A modular bank, somewhat temple-style...
About this creation
If MOCpages still haven't recovered from their image disk problems, please see the photos here on flickr!

As you can see, it uses parts and ideas from the Atlantis temple and from the Bank and Money Transfer set (3661).

Lots of yellow, but it works quite well in combination with the white and a little dark blue. Here's a view from above:

The back side with a money transport (on a provisional baseplate):

From behind his blue window, the manager, Mr Ricky Brent, is looking out on the backyard, satisfied about how successful the business is due to his efforts, and looking forward to working overtime.

Well, actually, the former is what he thinks and the latter what he tells his wife. In reality, he's lucky that business happens to be successful despite his lackluster efforts, and he's cheating on his wife with his secretary, whom we see cleaning her fingernails with a letter opener:

Rumor has it she wasn't hired for her office work skills.

This is Mr Brent's office - yeah, he's a bit of a show-off, with all this gold and silver on his antique shelf:

And here in the middle, all the real work is done:

Except for the work that means directly handling cash and gold, that is. That's in the basement:

Including an access to the ATM's back side, by the way. The vault - using the 3661's door, but with a little sliding mechanism so it actually opens when there's a wall on the other side - doesn't just contain money and gold, but also stores some treasures:

On the ground floor: the quite busy customers' area. Lots of tourists from Europe exchanging their currency:

The Euro bank notes are from TASTER on BrickLink.

Keep smiling:

Alright, one more look into all floors:

But wait, what's that noise? Is there someone snoring underground??

Indeed! A thief dug his way from the sewers to the bank wall!

Waiting for the bank to close so that he can continue his work, he fell asleep - and snores too loud. Which means that the police are already on the scene:

The scene, in this case...

...includes the Fire Brigade and some brick-built (half) street:

And a press photographer has also arrived already:

Well, that's it... what do you think?

Absolutely amazing; I wish I were creative enough to build something like that!!! I still have to stick to instructions but maybe someday I'll have good ideas, too!

Great work, like all your buildings. The interior details makes it a 'rich' MOC.

This is wonderful! The building and the interior are perfectly built - with so many details. I like the way you present this and the little stories you put in.

Really nicely done! Love all of the work that went into the interiors, adding to what was already a great MOC from the outside.

Of course you know I have to comment! And that comment is: I am POSITIVELY Jealous! Totally awesome. I for one know the expense and the time this took, as well as the architecture and engineering! Let alone the color schemes! The tile floors and the secretary comment were what stand out in my mind as well as the mail room and the clerk wheeling the money down the stairs. Mine is a baby attempt...but one day....

Great color scheme, I also like the contrast of the old front and the new glass doors!
