About this creation
My entry to The punked contest
www.mocpages.com/group.php
for the Cyber punk category

I chose the M2488 'Onager' for my entry into the punked contest because I think it had a realy unique cyber-punk feel to it. As always, I'm the ONLY person on MOC pages with a model like this;(I've checked), 'Feels good to be unique don't it?

Basically, for any non-halo players and-or trivial maniacs, M.A.C stands for Magnetic-Acceleration-Cannon/Coil, despite being a fairly futuristic subject, technology like this actually exists.

This is my first created MOC this year, I got a new camera, two new tripods and enough time to tidy up the ol' workshop.

+ you may have seen my animations, if not- check them out, they were a few little things I got together before christmas and I can tell you more are on the way.

Sarges notes:
This is my first contest entry MOC ever so I hope it makes a good impression.
As my obsession with halo reach reaches critical levels, my workshop is literally exploding with half finished MOCs either inspired or cut short due to gameplay hours.
Thankfully none of you are that insane, I shall stay here, trollin' along in my special fortress, my house of Insanity.

nice job and funny you quoted the achievment. this looks ALMOST exact. why i say that is because the rails look a little shorter than the referance pic, and thats my opinian. its nice and cool and im thinking of making my own variant. |

Very cool looking build, I've been contemplating making something like this that fires, using a power functions kit, but I dont have a good idea for the firing mechanism yet.
i like that idea. remember, the key to using power-functions is plan your space: most are large. make the interior top priority. |

If you make it bigger, and create a cabin as opposed to an open air control panel, then this is perfect! I've considered making one myself. |

Nice work, looks very haloesque, I love halo too although I haven't been playing as frequent as I use to. A few suggestions if you are looking to improve, I'd make the base round using dark/light bley Brick, Round Corner 10 x 10 with Slope 33 Edge, Axle Hole, Facet Cutout also I'd add some kind of fence like in the pic. Good job!
Thanks, I considered adding some fence pieces but I got around to building the MOC and found I only had two or three matching pieces. The rounded base is a good idea, I'll try to touch up on the turntable. |

Can you give me a link to where it says that it is a MAC, and not just a Mass Driver?

Actually a Mass Driver is different from a MAC, and I remember Captain Connor Patterson did a model like this-http:/mocpages.com/moc.php/233721. This still is very impressive. >Eric
Connor created a MDC, not a MAC. It looks similar to mine but is nothing like the Onager in halo reach. |
