There Was An Old Woman...
Team Savage Gerbils in the category "Nursery Rhyme" for the 2011 MOCathalon.
About this creation
HERE is the link to the MOCathalon group.
And HERE is the link to the TSG homepage.

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe,
She had so many children she didn't know what to do.
So she gave them some broth without any bread,
And she whipped them all soundly and sent them to bed.

Happy, right?

When I read the "Nursery Rhyme" category, I immediately thought of this one, and here it is, from idea-ality to reality.

I had a TON of fun with this, it's been a long time since I've made a build as cheerful as this, of course, I had to include the "she whipped them all soundly" part.

I hope you enjoyed this presentation as much as I enjoyed building it (although I had to make the page twice, everything got deleted the first time.)

Thanks for taking the time to check this out. Judges, do your thing.

I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for somebody to do this nursery rhyme! I couldn't wait for somebody to attempt a shoe house! This is so much better than in my head. Love the laces and the chimney and the way you have captured the moment one of the kids is whipped and in front his brother is obviously still smarting from the whip! Better than brilliant. 5 points.

Brilliant job! I was thinking about a Mother Hubbard Moc, but you've done it so well, I'd probably put it off till next year! The action with the humans is worth a few extra points for me.
