It is no accident that I am posting on this MOC. From Commander Rutherford:
You are currently a member of the Metal Legion Recruiting Command. This notice is provided to help members remain in the group, and is not intended to be a form of pestering or harassment. MLRC is going to battle, again, and your participation by group members is crucial. The name of the battle (it’s a group) is CONTACT BRAVO ONE. The battle will run from 1 AUG 2011 to 31 AUG 2011. If you have never posted on MLRC, and you have not posted in this battle by 31 AUG, then you will be dropped from MLRC. This would be a shame, because your building talent and creativity are the life blood of the MLRC. How do you post an entry in CONTACT BRAVO ONE?
First, you need to post a Garrison, or a Militia squad on MLRC. Go to this link and follow the instructions:
http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=16812&topicid=67443
Then join the group CONTACT BRAVO ONE at this link, and again follow the instructions: http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/17909
You must complete both steps, and you must do them in the order listed.
Right now, most of MLRC members are inactive, and this does nothing to help the members who are active. The purpose of the site is to help active group members to become better builders and better communicators. I am glad you joined the MLRC, but joining only got you to the door. Step in or step out. Either way, thank you for your attention in this matter.

I love it. The details in the room, the ripped floor, the clever idea. Your score = 5. |

The scene is just wicked! However I must continue judging on the monster alone as I have done so with all other entries. Your monster is lovely and creepy and fluid, I think it is a solid 4. |

Thanks Nannan! Thats exactly where I've seen it used before. Really is a nice technique for the lamp arm. |

There are a lot of eye catching details (if you can get past the terror in the middle of the MOC. The little night stand next to the bed, the lamp on it, and the gold frame made out of bot arms are my favorites. Really a neat bed room. The floor boards coming up are also pretty cool looking. Attack! |

Is it my imagination or are the entries, in general, just getting awesome? Can't say enough good about this one! 5 points! ~ Chris. |

That reading lamp is pure genius! Would it be alright with you if I used it myself (with linked credit, of course)?
Thanks man! Well I think I've seen the 'visor for a lamp arm' used before but for the life of me I could not find it again to give credit. So mystery lego builder thanks for the inspiration! |

I love it, the only thing I'd have done different is to replace the gray binoculars with black to match the color of the creature. That way they don't compete for attention with the teeth and mouth, which are the nice focus points of the monster.
Thanks man! Yeah I would have used black binocs had I any in my collection, just piles of dark bluish gray. However once I designed the spherical mouth using that method of binoc/teeth I could not let it go. |
