A MINI incarnation of a Firefly transport from the brilliant series, "Firefly".

MOC Background:
The K-64 Firefly midbulk transport has been out of production for some time. Smugglers like the craft for its nooks and crannies. The craft has appeared as 'Serenity' in the TV series, "Firefly", and in the sci-fi film based on Firefly, Serenity. It also had a cameo appearance in the Sci-Fi Channel TV series, "Battlestar Galactica".
Construction:
I knew I wouldn't be able to make a mini-fig scale Serenity, s I went for the next best thing. I made a MINI model. I looked at reference pics for most for the time I was building, the rest was just by memory. I realize the "wings" are a little too long, but I wanted the shape to look accurate, and that was the best piece for it at this scale. A day or two after I put it up on Brickshelf, I made instructions . Feel free to use them, just give credit where credit is due.

As you can tell by the red marks, she ain't Serenity. Just another Firefly. I didn't have enough 1x1 tiles in other colors to make Serenity.

Just a last note, I nicknamed this Firefly transport "Wildhawk", just in case I decide to build it in a larger scale someday.

The wings look like they might be a tad too big or high up to me, but I'm no expert, so I'll just say: tis pwnage. Awesome job! You got the shape almost perfect. |
