N-22 "Battle Axe" Defense Frigate
TEAM: Jigsaw CATEGORY:Sci-Fi Concept Art
About this creation
A shot of the rear thrusters:

The top of the frigate, with fuel tanks (gray), and coolant tank (white):

The middle section of the ship, containing crew quarters, supplies, etc:

A shot of the two Heavy Concussion cannons in the front of the frigate:

A straight on shot:

A shot of the side detailing, for the heck of it:

I've always associated concept art with intricate drawings of massive spaceships, so I knew that was what I was going to build. Unfortunately, I don't have the bricks necessary to build a minifig scale SHIP, so I went with microscale, and I'm glad I did. Definitely my best microspace creation (that's not saying much), I'm really happy with how this came out.

The orange suits it well, and the use of the dump truck bin really defines the shape of the hull. The design is very sound, aside from placement of the fuel tanks. While they are fine as they are, I personally would not have placed them so close to the main weapon system, as a misfire or damage would cause damage to the fuel tanks. Sorry, I design battleships as a hobby, don't mind me. Great work! ^Blub^

Quoting Michael Rutherford Heavy metal! It looks more industrial than military, but either way it looks cool as heck! How did you get the white stipe effect on the orange dump truck tipper? Attack!
I cut up the white parts from an Atlantis sticker sheet. Thanks guys! Glad you like it :)

This is great!! Your parts usage is amazing. You NEED to give me some tips on building on your level. Good luck with the judges, even if we're on different teams. :)
