the fairey swordfish was a torpedo bomber used by the fleet air arm.although it was already considered obsolete when it entered service in 1936,it was used to great success
in ww2.it was a swordfish that disabled the mighty bismarks rudder alowing her to be sunk by rodney and king george VI.swordfish were also used to attack the italian fleet moored in taranto.
