Might As Well Jump
Okay, so this post has nothing to do with Van Halen. It's the start of a Lenten project that I'm doing. This is a vignette of Matthew Chapter Four Verses 5-7. Enjoy!
About this creation
Then the devil took him to the holy city, and made him stand on the parapet of the temple, and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written:
'He will command his angels concerning you,' and 'with their hands they will support you, lest you dash your foot against a stone.'"

Jesus answered him, "Again it is written, 'You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.'"

I'm hoping to add one religious MOC every week this Lent, keep a lookout for them! Thanks for viewing, and God bless!

Thanks for all the wonderful comments everyone! And sorry for the slightly rushed nature of the build, I wanted to post it before the week got through, and I just finished my final exams today. My next religious post will be more detailed, and probably bigger too.

Once again we see how LEGO has so many uses! An what a marvelous one to illustrate Biblical or Qu'ran verses! The ability of LEGO being able to draw in our youth to experience the WORD is awesome! The ability to share RELIGIOUS CULTURE with one another is wonderful! The fact that your vignette is simplistic yet detailed in verse marks you as an awesome builder, Cody! It was a pleasure to look at!

Uh, master shifu leo. The brick testament is made by a guy who makes fun of the bible through legos. My family showed this to my grandpa who figured this out. Besides, sometimes you can just tell.

Nice build, Cody G. I think that you should keep making things like this online. There's too few Christian/Jewish-based MOCs online and it's nice to have some faith-based MOCs on here. While I'm not a practicioner of Lent myself, I'm also impressed with your build. However, if there's a few things that I'd like to see on here, then they would be 1. more pictures, 2. more Scriptures, and 3. more accompanying MOCs to this MOC.

Nice remake of that part of scripture! Although I always pictured the parapet as stone for some reason. Maybe if I had paid more attention to other passages then I would have figured out it would have looked more like this.

For something from the bible, I'd prefer this be more of a labor of love. No biggie. Say a few details down the sides of the temple? Could I request the story of Job at some point?
