This is my entry into the 2011 MOC Athalon.....category is:
3: On your moc cut it loose, with the styling’s of Seuss!:
Build us a moc in Seuss' whimsical style, Think of Whoville and Mount Crumpet from his artistic file.
Then give us a write up in his silly styled rhyme. To not have fun with this would sure be a crime.
It can't be one straight out of his books, but I'd check some out just to get the right looks.
So give us your take on what Seuss is to you. Any size, any color, you know what to do.
The judges are looking for both writing and build. So give it your all or your score will get killed.
One thing to be said about Thing One and Thing Two,
is that they both love the colors of red, and blue.
Unfortunately for them, they just couldn't decide
as to which house they wished to reside.
Their friend the cat,
the one with the hat,
luckily knew just what to do.
He arrived in his watchamaferk
and went straight to work,
knocking down and putting up a wall or two.
It only took a few minutes, so it was well worth the wait.
All it needed now was a fresh coat of paint.
With the newly built walls
that gave more room for all,
the house really looked brand new.
Of course it was a good thing for Thing One and Thing Two,
that they both happened to like the color yellow too.
Just a bonus pic.
My daughters really enjoy the Cat in the Hat, and they make me read it to them quite often. All of them love the live action movie (though I despise it personally), and so I can't seem to get away from that story. I figured it would be cute to make the characters into miniland figs and give it a shot at a quick story. Hope you all enjoyed, and keep on truckin' ABSt&rds!!!!
I had to watch that movie just yesterday. My daughter likes it so I said "what the hey?" Your post was fun with that Seussicle twist, don't worry your score will not be dissed. It's late, I need a drink and my rhyming's a bore. Bet you thought you were about to get a four. You made everything here come together and jive and for that my friend, you deserve a 5! ~ Chris.
Who woulda have thought? Who woulda thunk? That a story so clever would come from a drunk? It's a wondiferous tale, sure to win the judges over; good thing for the ABSt&rds that pirate weren't sober!~H
