Here’s a replica of the 1999 2door Chevy Tahoe, one of the best SUV’s that General Motors made, this model features working elements like working steering, opening doors, hood and trunk, beige interior and chrome rims, hope you like it, thanks for your visit.
About this creation
Chevrolet:

Chevrolet (pronounced /ˌʃɛvrəˈleɪ/), also known as Chevy (pronounced /ˈʃɛvi/), is a brand of vehicle produced by General Motors Company (GM). Founded by Louis Chevrolet and ousted GM founder William C. Durant on November 8, 1911, Chevrolet was acquired by General Motors in 1917. Chevrolet was positioned by Alfred Sloan to sell a lineup of mainstream vehicles to directly compete against Henry Ford's Model T in the 1920s, with "Chevrolet" or "Chevy" being at times synonymous with GM. In North America, Chevrolet offers a full range of automobiles, from subcompact cars to medium-duty commercial trucks.
Tahoe:

The Chevrolet Tahoe (and very similar GMC Yukon) are full-size SUVs from General Motors. Chevrolet and GMC sold two different-sized SUVs under their Blazer/Jimmy model names through the early 1990s. This situation changed when GMC rebadged the full-size Jimmy as the Yukon in 1992. Chevrolet waited until 1994's introduction of a four-door version to rebadge the mid-size S-10 Blazer as the Blazer, renaming the full-size Blazer as the Tahoe.
The Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon currently serve as General Motors' full-size SUVs. Lengthened wheelbase models are available for both as the Suburban for the Tahoe and Yukon XL for the Yukon. A luxury Denali model joined the Yukon lineup in 1998. As of 2002, a Denali version of the Yukon XL was also available as the Yukon XL Denali
The overall view:
Let's begin with some shots of the model all around; front, side, rear and top views:
The working elements:

As usual, everything open. Notice the tiny space I made behind the doors so you don't have to push hard to close the doors, it's one of the LEGO hinges as a lot of you already know.
The trunk:
I made the lower part open in the opposite direction of the rear window, just like in the real car.
The engine:
Beneath the hood sits a Vortec 5700 V8, rated for 255 horsepower. Two-door 4WD Tahoes with LS or LT trim can be equipped with a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8 instead of the Vortec 5700.
The interior:
A shot with the roof off so you can see the interior.
Notice the seat belts and the arm rest.
Hope I did fine on the interior; I was very limited with the beige pieces.
The details:

Some front details, front grill, hooks under the bumper, chrome chevy emblem, license plate...etc.
And some rear details, rear window wiper, chrome exhaust tip...etc.
Even the smallest details, windshield wipers, antenna, side view mirrors...etc.
Good bye image:
I'm sure it doesn't need a treads to drive on the snow; but I liked to build some for it ;-)
Hope you liked it.
The real thing:

Firas, man, this is unbelievable! It's so cool to see you do an "everyman" car too... there's something about this truck that feels especially impressive, and I think it's that I've actually seen chevy tahoes in real life. Excellent detail and use of obscure pieces, especially in the sides and tailgate area.
A long time ago, you pushed me to move into a bigger scale (I used to only make little 8-wide cars) Well, I don't know if you've seen it yet, but I'd love to hear what you think of my BTTF DeLorean. If you have the time, be brutal with me and find something I can improve on it, I've been dying to update it! Thanks again!!

This is the most American car I think you've ever built... a big SUV with some aftermarket parts and generous amounts of chrome makes for a build that's vastly different from your Lamborghinis and other sportscars. Of course, being a purist, the stickers were a little distracting for me. Unless I'm greatly mistaken you usually only use stickered plates (if that), and I much prefered that. |

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the compliments, comments and feedback, very much appreciated, you need to know something though; I was asked to build this model for a lady over the USA, I don’t usually build LEGO models for sale as most of you already know, but that lady was so in need to get a replica of this car, so she sent me the photos and I built it for her, I had to make my best to make this model look like the photos she sent, so it’s not a standard version of the Tahoe, it’s some kind of customized one, with bigger fenders, bigger hood… etc, also I had to use stickers that I usually wouldn’t… to cut the long story short, I’ve uploaded a photo of the real car. Thanks again guys :-) |

When I got this in my email, just now 3:37 p.m. DST NYC, I had to look at the picture 3 times! I said to myself: "They are letting pictures from magazines on 'mocpages'?
I couldn't believe my eyes it wasn't a picture of a Chevy Tahoe it was a LEGO MOC of one.
I clicked on the picture and chose 'open in new tab' and my eyes STILL couldn't believe what they were seeing!
With each picture the details kept getting stronger and stronger till the point where it was hard to distinguish a real engine from your LEGO version of one!
Great photography!

Another wonderful model! Great amount of detail you have fit in, as it seems to be a slightly smaller scale than your usual car. I must say though, something about the shape just doesn't look quite right. I think the fenders might be attributing to that, as I don't recall stocker Tahoes having quite that large of an overfender. |
