The Transfiguration of Jesus
Another quick Lenten build. I'm hoping to get some large-scale inspiration next Sunday and build something truly awesome. Until then, enjoy what progress I have made in the meantime.
About this creation
Matthew 17:1-9

After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him. Then Peter said to Jesus in reply, "Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them, then from the cloud came a voice that said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him." When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate and were very much afraid. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, "Rise, and do not be afraid." And when the disciples raised their eyes, they saw no one else but Jesus alone.

Jesus with Elijah and Moses.

The prostrate disciples. My Sunday Missal explains that in this reading, the transfiguration isn't exactly a change in form, but rather a glimpse of Jesus' true glory rather than the man that is seen most of the time. The transfiguration is God's way of telling the disciples that Jesus' crucifixion is all part of the plan, and that greater things will come from it.

I am Pastor to Deaf in Guyana South America. These illustrations of the Bible stories are wonderful I use them every week to teach the Deaf here because they do not read English. Everything must be in picture form to get them to understand. Thank you for all your work to present Truth to the world

I'm not too into religion, but this MOC caught my eyes, because it's so clean and effective. As far as I know about it, it's a nice rendition of this scene, and an original, nice MOC !

I'm loving all these Jesus MOC's! Nothing fancy on the build but it's the meaning that does it for me. A word of caution: the Bricktestament guy does have some amazing Lego creations but there are some R-rated things in his Bible renditions (cussing, sarcasim, sexual imagery, etc.). Just use some discernment.

Great Job! I love this scene in the Bible, and you did it total justice. I also like the blue background. I just built a crucifixion, and I think you would like it!

Brilliant! I'm loving all your religious MOC's :D If your gonna do a large scale one, you should do a MOC of Jesus's birthday :D Like have the shepherds and their lambs on a hill with the star and angels, the 3 wise men walking from a building and the stable with Jesus,Mary etc. that would be awesome! Keep up the great work bro ;)
