Got a little hyperactive today and ran around with a tape measure checking the scale of all my MOCs. The scale I build at is approximately 1/36 scale and after doing some calculations I realized that my P-38 is 3 whole inches too long! The real thing is about 37" and mine is around 45" so it needs some adjusting. The wings are also 0.0277" too short! but there ain't much I can do about that. :p

Cool, just make sure you use a set that has two propellers; it would be a real shame to spend all that time to build it and realize it only has one propeller. And thanks for all your comments, I'm planning on commenting on that Porsche you made but the pictures aren't working right now. Little hard to comment on something when you can’t see what it is (not your fault, they are upgrading the site right now and it’s causing some problems).

I don't know much about ps3 and other console's - but I love all the functionality of this plane! I plan to build a P-38 sooner or later too - but only if I can achieve that by using bricks from only one set. This MOC really insipred me, i'd like to start inmediately. :)

I have only seen AC6 for Xbox-360 I checked the offical site and it said its ONLY for xbox-360.But idk maybe it is also for PS3 idk.i check gamestop etc only for xbox. One game you should get is MGS4 for the PS3.Get that and you'll understand why I love metal gear solid Ive beaten most of my PS2 games.Alot in a day.Took me like 2 years to fully beat AC5 because I had to unlock ALL 50 aircraft wich took two weeks.Ive beaten all my xbox games accept for NFS undercover,halo wars and L.A. Noire

Oh, your right, I read on some site yesterday that it was for X-Box 360 and PS3 but I just checked a bunch of other sites, unless they are all wrong then that site didn't know what it was talking about. I think we should stop all this X-Box 360 vs. PS3 talk, I think we will both end up mad at each other if we keep it up any longer. I still have a half a dozen PS2 games I want to beat but after that I will do some major research on both of them before I make a decision one or the other. But now that I think about it if Halo and Ace Combat or only for X-Box 360 that one will probably win, it’s not like I like God of War or any of those other PS3 only games. Of you do want to keep talking about this though can we move it to the group, I don't really mind all the extra comments on my P-38 but some people reading them might think it's weird, thanks.

You dont want the PS3.PS3 is very terrible.Buy the xbox360.Dont get the cheapest one because then you'll spend $100 on a hard drive for the xbox360 so buy like the $200 one.If you get it,buy AC6,operation flash point red river.OF-RR is fun but keep in mind you die if your shot like 4 times its more realistic that way and the missions are like 40+ Minutes long.Im serious I spent 40+ Minutes on a single mission

Scott I looked up AC6 its ONLY FOR xbox-360.Btw xbox-360 is better i find.PS3 is just overpriced and unreliable.PSN keeps getting hacked while XBL hasnt.

No, they make it for PS3. I don't really like X-Box, I don't like how I have to pay $50 a year to play online multi player, but I'm not going to buy a PS3 for another year or two at least so pleanty of time to change my mind! (That's if I buy one at all, maybe I will just wait till the PS5 comes out and buy a PS4, lol!)

AC5 is very easy.(not to brag but) I can beat it 5 times in a day on ACE mode.Same with ACZero.There just not challenging games.

Oh well AC6 is kinda hard.because stirgon squadron is so cheap -.-.But Operation flashpoint red river is challenging,Good game to test your squad leader skills.

I watched a review and the trailer, 6 looks awsome! To bad it isn't for PC, oh well, maybe when the PS4 comes out I will buy a PS3, it will probaly be cheaper then.

I don't know, it was pretty chalanging when I first got it, now it is pretty easy even on ace but it's still fun. What game do you think is hard then?

I fanaly did get past that part, now I have beaten every mission in the game on ace difficulty and am only 8 "S" ranks away from the Falken! I still haven't gotten the older Ace Combats but I did get Ace Combat Zero, the prequel to 5.

Nice plant! P-38 is also my favorite. About you stuck on Ace Combat 5, someone called "faris Shukri" seems left the answer for you : I've finished the game several times. That level where you need to locate edge is somewhat difficult. If you dont know how to find Edge, then listen up. That beeping thingy is like a compass. When there are more bars, it means you are in the right direction. Faster beeping means you r gettin closer. Edge will acknowledge yiu presence when you are close enough to her position. after that, the heli will come in. Go straight to the heli and destroy the apaches and ground targets. and if im not mistaken, the mission ends once the heli reaches her. ANOTHER TIP, you should set wingman commands to cover, and you should fly fast to avoid AA fire. And dont forget to destroy that jammer plane!! Hope it's helpful to you~

Yes the colors are on purpose. I like to build a lot on my own stile for stuff (most my planes arn't even real planes) so I wanted at least an origonal paint job for this plane.

Lol, wow, I thought my was bad. The pictures weren't that bad but I would recomend getting a new camera if you can. Get one with a movable view screan it makes taking close ups much easier, thats why I still have an old PowerShot A610 (that's the one good thing it has). Thanks for the coment!

Good job, I really like the way the back half of the tail booms look, and my favorite part is the control cables from the top of the rudders to the cockpit. The P-38 is one of my favorites, after the F-14 and Pak Fa, of course. In response to your comment on my F-14: Thanks for the multiple comments on my models Scott, but I'm sorry about the pictures. My "camera" is a Samsung Intensity cell phone with a lens once covered in molten chocolate, after after visiting a few foolishly placed Hershey kisses in my pocket on Easter a little over a year ago.

I guess they do look a little like radials, but that's what they look like on the real thing too, actuly I thought they were radials! Outstanding! I have always loved the P-38 and this is a phenomenal MOC. That's not to say improvements can't be made but in a few areas but overall it is very good.

I would love to make a B-17, but that would take an insane amount of parts. I due have plans to build a B-25, but that won’t be for a wile, the P-38 took up just about all my grey parts. Maybe when I graduate collage (got to graduate high school first though), move out, and have some high paying job I will make a B-17, but that won’t be for 5-10 years.

What I meant is that the rear wing is 4 studs long, (front to back), it looked beter and more like the photos I was looking at when I made it 5, but this made the back too heavy. The plane would still be the same lagth it would just have a slightly bigger rear wing and tailfins.
