Hey, another awesome trucks! You must be fascinated by everything that has wheels. I was looking your mainpage and you were talking about LDD. Nothing to do with you MOC, but, could I show you something I designed and built with LDD? =)

Hi Andy,
Wow your Octan truck looks great I like the fact that itīs 7 studs wide, and that it looks like a real one that we are used to see on the roads and that you can flip the cab over to see the engine is just brilliant. The window is awesome I never thought about it before, thats genious. Everything is just perfect. Great job. Canīt wait to see something new from you. |

Andy! This is a great build. You are always good for a new technique or two. I have this one and have envisioned a similar MOD. This is how short haul oil and fuel trucks look... at least on the roads around So Cal. Fuel Tankers at small to medium airports also look more like this than LEGO's Tractor/Trailer setup. great to see something new from you. G'day, Eric. |

This doesn't look as good as a LEGO set; it looks way better! Great work, always like odd wide LEGO vehicles.
Blimey, Firas, that is quite a compliment. Thank you very much. Kindest Regards Andy |

Hi CF,
Thanks for dropping by.
The fenders/wheel arches are intended to be grey and it's not that I haven't got enough white ones. Although this is using the original Octan tanker I am also trying to make it as true to a real one as possible. I've seen quite a few of this type of tanker and the second set of wheel arches are usually a different colour to the rest of them. I'm actually quite pleased with the look so I don't find it a shame at all.
The wheels I'm quite happy with too. I know you like the standard Lego city vehicle wheels but the trouble is that they are no good for this scale. On a 7 wide they look a bit small and ill fitting. A big reason why I cover my wheels with technic gears is that the wheels are so old that they have cracks all over them. This is a good way to hide them and I actually do like the look.
I'm glad you like the rest of it, you're opinion does mean a lot to me.
Kindest Regards
Andy |

Very nice, Andy! The cabin is really outstanding, starting with the little iron stairs, the fact that it can be "flapped over" so one has accces to the engine, and the super creative use of the wind shield glas piece. Great stuff! And 7-wide trucks rule either way:)...

It's to maintain a difference between the front wheels and the rear wheels. If you notice on a real truck the rear wheels are different to the front. Namely because the rear wheels are twin wheelbase and the fronts aren't. It's a challenge to replicate this in Lego without losing the rear fenders/wheel arches. To be honest I actually like the look of the wrong way round gears. |

hi andy! very sad for the stickers! i have a folder for them, and instructions, it helps, i was fortunate enough that i never lost any, i m due to apply some, your truck; it s fabulous!
so european styled, 8 wheels system, so rare, and yet so nice, a shame for the grey fenders,
and i still don t like this wheel design, but, the cabin is where you stroke 'ball' for me! it s awesome! the front, the space underneat, superb! all the functions, color scheme, details, excellent work andy!
