Another Gospel MOC, just in time for the weekend. Enjoy!
About this creation
John 4:5-10 (an excerpt from the story, "The Samaritan Woman".)
So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of land that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob's well was there. Jesus, tired from his journey, sat down there at the well. It was about noon.
A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give me a drink." His disciples had gone into the town to buy food. The Samaritan woman said to him, "How can you, a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan woman, for a drink?" (For Jews use nothing in common with Samaritans.) Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God and who is saying to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."
The Samaritan woman.
Jesus, who confuses the Samaritan woman with his promise of living water, which she takes literally instead of recognizing Jesus as the Messiah.
Overview of the vignette.
The well design, which I really like.
wow cody! another very nice gospel! i really like those, mocing a religion is quite audacious, and risque, fortunately, you have very good taste in presenting these fine pieces! a great niche to discover...in peace! live long, and prosper cody!
Quoting Chaos Master
the only problem i see is i never thought of her face looking like that. anyway, great moc! it's funny we where just learning about that last Sunday.
Yes, the face isn't my favorite either, but it was either that, a happy female face, or a scared female face. She is learning some deep stuff here, so this was the closest to deep thought I could get. Also, I use the Gospel readings from the Catholic Church for the week's builds (every Catholic church has the same readings around the world each Sunday). It not only makes it easy to find inspiration, but it makes viewers like you (and me when I build it!) think twice about the stuff you learned in church last week. Just in case you fell asleep during the homily. ;)
Awesome, love the well design:) I agree with Decimator, I liked your old Buddy Icon:) Any way, I added you as one of my favorite builders, its nice to have a fellow Christian on MOCpages:) I'm trying to make Christian mocs, but my computer is being stupid:)
Though I don't observe Lent, I'm glad that these MOCs exist. Your attention to detail is nice and they serve to be an inspiration to those who share the same faith on here. Thank you for the excellent build, Cody G.
Yet another woman in Jesus' life and this one technically a Jew who was not appreciated by her own people! It took great courage for her to have discourse with Jesus! How much are we like her misunderstood because of our believes?
You are realizing this throughout your LENTEN Journey!
I am so very proud of you for sharing your 'faith' through LEGO!
