Since the original was my least popular MOC, I renovated it!
About this creation
The Andruian military has, to date, made hundreds of these simple bases for use as grounded lookout posts. Each is designed to sustain four soldiers. They can be difficult to overcome thanks to the laser turret, the mech in each one's garage, and that reinforcements are guaranteed to arrive quickly after the alarm is activated. This one appears to be in some sort of desert. Special thanks to my pal Derek, who gave me two old tubs of Lego (I found some nail clippers in one), without which I couldn't finish this beauty. The modifications are really just the addition of more details, inside and out. For the spaceship's page, click here. For the mech's page, click here.
Here you can see the rocks cleared to form a rough path to the garage. The garage door folds upward via the winch above.
A critter of some sort appears to have made a home in the rubble from the clearing of the rocks.
The details on the walls are all new.
There's a hatch for roof access, a ladder to the helipad, and sand that has blown onto the roof. The tower that the turret is on is used for refrigerated storage, as you'll see in a moment.
A vent box and more sand. Note the ladder up the turret.
The laser turret has also been redone. It lights up as a bonus.
We see part of the mech and the inside of the garage. Note the closed sliding door that leads to the ground floor.
An overview of the top floor. There's a sink, a toilet, a rack for the guns, bunk beds made of blocks of foam and metal framework (cheap), a table with a soldier watching TV with a finished drink nearby, a stool, a window, some wall switches, a ladder to the roof, and a trash can.
I love the classy sink.
Two light switches and one alarm switch (the red one). And it looks like the TV is busted. Geez, even in the future nothing works right...
An overview of the bottom floor. There's a table, some stools, a big TV, a computer (by the way those two soldiers are looking at it, there's a video game going on), an all-purpose grill/stove, a trash can, the sliding door, two windows, and a table.
The TV and switches. Again, two light switches and one for the alarm.
"Eat the fly! Eat the fly!"
The grill and a window.
Here you can see the sliding door partially open as seen from inside the ground floor.
The minifigs. On the left is a pilot, and the other two are regular soldiers.
