I'm not a huge BSG fan although I do like the show, one word... WOW!! I know people say this all the time but I am literally speechless, although it's not my style, I'm never easily impressed but my jaw literally dropped!! 11 out of 10 Thank you Christopher for taking the time to comment on this build. Wow Bro sorry I missed this, I really don't know how I did. This thing is massive and a beauty!!! WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Man the amount of bricks this must of took. Great job bro. Looking forward to the next build.
Thank you Peter for such encouraging WOWS. After I finally dismantled this well rounded beast, counted the parts. I went WOW that used heaps of bricks. Cheers Peter

This is awesome!
Only in my wildest dreams I could ever do just a work or art! Being a bsg fan of the old show, am really happy to see this done in bricks, as I know I'll never have enough bricks to do it anyway (assuming I had the skills ;) ).
Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much Sandra for your outstanding comment. Glad I was able to please a fellow BSG fan.... Cheers |

Really good. It has a great macro scale about it. Brilliantly built.
Thank you for your comment. Macro scale is so much easier than micro. I can get so much more detail to give the best results. Thanks again and keep your great looking Doomgiver developing.

Not sure how I missed this at the onset, but thank God I've discovered it now! BRILLIANT work! You've done a fantastic job on the form, which is a real challenge in Lego. Great job in breaking up the surface area, as well, with interesting textures and subtle color blocking. Ships from the original BSG are some of my fav. designs of any Sci-fi series yet, and you really do justice to them. Well done!!!
Thank you Mark for your generous appraisal of this toaster filled monster. I am glad to have done it lego justice as it is my intention to make these magnificent old series BSG models. So they can be enjoyed all over again in a different medium. Cheers

Garry, you did it again! You must have a lot of time to spend, I didn't expect the final basestar this quickly. It looks great, with a lot of details. And very impressive measures. Do you live close to a lego factory? Do you ever run out of parts? Anyway, you've made an extremely good looking basestar.
Love to have a lego factory next door, sadly they are all 1000kms away. I've run out of parts too often but the net comes to the rescue..Thank you for your kind words.

Absolutely stunning. Building something huge is often complicated enough, but building something huge and round is even more complicated. Still haven't seen the new BSG (yes, El Barto, I have to confess; I'm still watching Batman to please Dave, haha), but I remember those from my early childhood. Kudos from here.
Thank you Mr. Xenomurphy.. It posed many challenges but it was worth it... larger challenge coming up soon enough... |

Thank you Paul For your kind words.... NO it cannot be moved or lifted with out collapsing in a heap of plastic. It is also to large to fit through my door way.
Cheers... |
