My entry for Toa Phosphorus 'Periodic Bionicle Contest', Yin, Turaga of Silver
About this creation
Contest group here.

Grumpy, Old Man Yin never used to be so grumpy. Back in his early days, Yin had always lead a rather active lifestyle. From Matoran to Toa he was a warrior class unmatched by his peers, always on the hunt for Makuta where trouble arose. Yin's final mission left him severely disfigured, and his missing right leg followed through with his transformation into his noble and respected form that you see today.

Having laid his weapons down long ago to become the teacher and mentor, Yin is still quite adept at using anything as a weapon. His staff is no ordinary staff, though, nobody knows it's exact function either. Some say it fires projectiles. Yin laughingly jokes that he uses the ball to help him find his spectacles at night. None are too sure.

He doesn't consider his pegleg as any sort of disability, rather he often uses it to his tactical advantage. Nobody ever thinks a grumpy old cripple can knock you down in half a second.

And there are times when he simply thinks you're not worth the trouble, merely turning his back to you.

Yin still finds fun and excitement in teaching the young ones the art of combat. Especially those whom think they can best him.

Yin: "Respect your Elders. You just got schooled, hero."

Pegleg Kick!

Quick build, though has gone through many iterations in regards to body structure. Went for deceptively simple. Started off with the staff as I really wanted to use that hockey stick end piece for something, and the rest just flowed together. Pegleg was to give the guy some character. First Turaga I've actually built, so this was an enjoyable MOC to make.
As for the unknown guy in red, well he's one I made months ago and just haven't gotten around to giving him his own page.
Cheers to Phosphorus for setting up the contest.

Nice, I think it would of been better if he had two legs. |

Perhaps, but then he wouldn't have had an interesting backstory. |
