About this creation
It's finally complete! About 4 months in the making, here he is G1 Devastator, made of my 6 Constructicon MOCs: Scavenger click here , Bonecrusher click here , Hook click here , Long Haul click here , Scrapper click here and Mixmaster click here .

This MOC was designed and built for my 2011 Fans Choice MOC on youtube! Thanks everyone who nominated / voted for this character. The finished MOC is just short of 22 inches tall and is really heavy!! I made a stand to help support the weight! I think you will be pleased. Please rate and comment!

Watch the video slide show for a better look at this MOC click here

As of this MOC I mark my retirement from making Lego Transformers..........yeah right!!!

Can you make some instructions on this and and Bruticus.? Your creations are just plain AWESOME! I know you dont like plagiarizers but I'm not one, I just like figuring out the creation in LDD then rate it. It's just like when someone doesn't get to figure out the model they won't want to rate it. Thank you Chris, your awesome. - Mecha.

The only things I can say is practice, practice, practice and think outside of the box. I've lost count of how many OPs I've built as both a kid and adult - always changing something. The good thing is its Lego - just take it apart and start again. If starting out I'd say start with a miniformer or something that has very few steps to convert then expand from there. cheers
Quoting aarne rasanen I love it! Theres still one thing that bothers me: his right shoulder. I don't know that much about g1 devastator so I guess it's just me. I am a huuuuuge fan of yours I subscribed to your YouTube channel quite the while ago and I admire you soooo much. You have inspired me alot to try making my own legoformers, but of course they look horrible. Can I have some advice? Thanks!

The culmination of months of excellent MOCing - and really lives up to expectations. Every detail of Devastator looks really close to the original, AND all the individual parts transform. Totally geewunderful (ouch)! I'm guessing he's got a bit more poseability than the original, but weight probably limits it a bit. What on earth are you going to do with all your free time now?

1) Xtra Parts just like the G1 toy - head and connector to join hook and long haul with additional joints for the shoulders to connect to bonecrusher and scavenger , two forearms and fists and a waste / thigh assembly to join the rest. All the joints for Devastator are ratchet type and connection points are ratchets or technic pins and sockets. 2) Third Party is a non Hasbro Company that makes a Transformer or accessory for an actual Hasbro toy. 3) Maybe movie guys from the new movie and glad you like this MOC! (breathe) Chris
Quoting Wes Pitter I really really want to see how this guy goes together. So he uses your six Constructicons? Are there additional parts (head, hands, maybe)? I am in awe of your G1 skills. How can you top that? That's a difficult question. I don't think you can! I don't know if we should thank your job for all that stress or not. LOL Words...can't describe this Chris. Seriously. Legoformers, that transform with articulation, that merge into another with articulation as well. Oh... I came up with an idea on how to possibly top that: I can send the Unicron design for you to upgrade. Although I do have my own ideas for upgrades too.

very sturdy and posseable I learned lessons from fort max. He however needs a stand for any pose other than standing up straight since he is so heavy! So cool poses he needs his stand! Its also insurance so that he doesn't topple in my display case. Which happend twice during the building process but with minimal damage, see real sturdy!
Quoting Chris Yee Too awesome for words. G1 Devastator has always been one of my favourite combiners. How is the poseability on the big guy? I would presume that along with weight and individual transformable limbs there would be some degree of fragility that inhibits more dynamic poses?

I came out of hiding while lurking for 4months.... this will also be me final comment on here aswel since I'm now fulltime TF kitbash & customizer so no more LDD or Lego from me. But I will say this!!! MAN IS THIS SMOKIN HOT.. I ACTUALLY like the individuals better, but hey still the BEST LEGO FORMER COMBINER EVER!

Seth Higgins already started the Combaticons (Swindle already) and since he is a student of my style I think I'll just let him build Bruticus.
Quoting Commando Charge This is by FAR your best creation! Now, this may be a little much, but try building the combaticons next, they were the best combiner team in my opinion.
