4-wide transformable Blackout
Blackout from the Michal Bay movies.
About this creation
I wanted to build a flying Transformer to compliment the many earthbound ones, and I decided to go with Blackout, since he is the first Transformer we actually see in the movie.

This one had to fit in size with the others (more or less), so once again it was a difficult build, since this scale doesn't really support tons of detail.

I wanted the helicopter mode to be the main focus, and the robot mode to be secondary, but there were some things I wanted to maintain, such as the "wings" on his back in robot mode, and also the "chestplate".

Side.

Front.

3/4.

Other side.

3/4 back.

Back.

First part of transformation, where the sides are tilted outwards.

The the tail is split, and tilted upwards.

The rotor is wrapped around the tail.

The legs are rotated 180 degrees.

Stand him up.

This has to be folded in to create his body.

Folded in.

The front is tilted down.

Arms are tilted down as well.

Flip the arms over to reveal hands.
That is the entire transformation sequence.

Robot mode 3/4 view.

3/4 back.

Back.

The last one that I have build in real life is Ratchet, and I will upload pictures of him soon. The rest are only LDD files as of right now, and I sadly do not have enough money to build them.

Hey, I am VERY impressed. If you can post instructions in LDD, or in photos, that would be a big help. I'm trying to make this for my little brother, he loves Lego transformers. Again, that would be great. If not, just e-Mail them to me at adamorand88@gmail.com . Thanks in advance.
