Black and White Bank Robbery
I always though it would be cool to build something with only black and white pieces. When I thought what I should do, I decided to make a scene from a time when only black and white photos were taken. Of course, if it were true black and white, it would have grays too, but I wanted to experiment with no hughes. But then I showed Paul Vermeesch my progress, and he thought that I should have everything black and white, but add some red blood coming out of the gangster. I went with a less gory approach. Everything but the muzzle flares are either black, white, or clear. A big thanks to my sister Grace for unknowingly letting me use the mime faces. Enjoy!
About this creation

The MOC consists of two basic parts: the street, and the bank.

The car was the hardest part of this MOC. It is my favorite part.

The car un-roofed.

The gangsters, ugly Fred and Smily Joe, stand by their getaway car.

Ugly Fred.

Officer Bob.

Smily Joe.

Some REALLY freaked out guy.

The muzzle flares.

BONUS 4/11/11: This creation was blogged on LegendBricks!

That is one sweet ride! That car is so awesome, I love the spare tire on the back and the detail is epic. The black and white looks very cool except I think the muzzle flares shouldn't have been colored.

Cool! I really like how the muzzle flares stand out, it was the second thing my eyes went to, after the car.

Quoting Scott Bertaut Really nice! I like the stile of this MOC a lot, nice job on this. The rober/police man gun battle really stands out thanks to the muzzle flashs. My favorate part is the car, I looked at the other stuff on your site and this is like the only car you've made. It is a really good car for some one who builds lots of cars but you have built so few! I am very impressed by this MOC.
Thanks for the comment! I really like the car and yes it is the only one that I have made (unless you count the quadricycle)!

Quoting Paul Vermeesch Wonderful! Oh... and my comment was contextual, not literal. Remember my friend, context is more important than detail. Love the car. Great use of the vampire head. Keep it up.
But detail is so much cooler! DUH!!!! You still should have used some other kind of hair for Einstein.

Quoting Sir Killsalot Stick Knight of the Stick Table Where'd you get the bandana?
The bandana was originally from the civil war US solder minifigs: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=7560.

Quoting C. Alexander Clay @ Henry Tracey, The car at least is American, the driver is sitting on the left side. I was aware that people dive on the opposite side of the road in parts of Europe and Australia, and yes, The US of A is NOT in fact the center of the universe. ;)
He he he. How easily we forget. Just kidding. Actually, I did set this in America. I was going to have the car turning into the other lane, but decided that if they are robbing a bank and pumping people with led, I doubt that they'd worry about traffic regulations.

@C. Alexander Clay: not if the scene is set in Great Britan! Also, this is one of the coolest lego retro-style builds I've ever seen!

Really cool Max! I remember you telling me about this one! (Random fact: I'm listening to "My name is Lincoln" right now) Smiley Joe looks like the Joker, maybe you should name him "Smiley Joe-ker" (ha...ha...ha...)! The "snot" road is masterful, well done!

Great use of contrast! One thing though, the car is driving on the wrong side of the road. But hey, if they're robbing a bank I guess we shouldn't expect them to follow traffic regulations.

Very cool Max, excelant idea! Only thing I can think of to make this better, is if you have enough tiles to tile the whole wall. But wonderful in every other way! That car is great!

Quoting Christopher Baldacci Wow! Max this is stunning! By far one of your best creations! I love how you did the road and your car is phenomenal. I always was never good at cars, so I really envy your skill with it. It is so tight and compact, too. The minifigs are really unique, and the idea to use only color for the muzzle flares was genius. (Am I droning? Too bad.) Using a sticker for 'Bank' was awesome and It totally worked. Plus the pictures are breathtaking as usual. I cannot say enough about this. Wow wow wow wow! 6/5!
